Well as hard as I tried I am leaving 2 Amex Hotel credits on the table I tried to make them work but it just didnt.

If it's the FHR/THC credit, it's not too late to book today. A staycation or something speculative? I think if it's refundable, you can change the date. Try MaxFHR for inspiration if you haven't already.

It is. I have tried alll the places. Even fancier places I could easily go to like Park City and Palm Springs. But it's just not in the cards for me. I have to either book something 1200 a night or book 2 nights at a THC and I only can use 1 night in my circumstances. Hurts to give it up.

Need a new card.... Looking at Alaska miles as mine are low. How easy/hard is Alaska Atmos Business to get? I'm 5/24 on personal cards; 2/6 on inquires. Is BOA inquiry sensitive? Thanks.

DoC DPs are saying 1/12 personal cards for that specific card. Some were told that on recon. There are a couple DPs for approval at 3/12 with platinum honors status. Link (see comments)

I'm leaving the edit, 41 in stubhub, all the resy, chasing dining whatever is, instacart and doordash credits. Oh and one od my Delta stays.

Couldn't make the edit work without spending $ i didn't want to use. Nothing to use the rest of sh on. I don't want to eat at the restaurants the credits would work at here and I already bought gc for vacation. DD and instacart are just too much work that I just don't want to deal with.

My csr is getting pc'd to a reserve when my af comes up and I'm keeping the plat. Those credits, shockingly, along with the better lounges, make it more worthwhile.

Oh no! I’ve done this but I only was out of pocket $50 more since DH card is a personal and the credit is only $100.

I didn’t use my fhr credits either. I did use resy, lulu, saks, the edit, and stubhub plus chase dining. I think next year I will keep my csr and cancel the platinum. The credits work better for me.

I'm the opposite. I used my FHRs but not my Edits (I really am not a fan of the CSR now). 2 nights for the Edit credit is not a good deal for us. One night for FHR is. I guess I still have today to find a way to use the Resy credits...

Credits - I think the Citi Strata has the best credits in terms of ease of use for what we have. Bestbuy or AA, and then their hotel portal actually has decent normal hotels. We did use our plat credits up but I have a sitting offer to upgrade my gold and I dont think we could use 2 sets of plat credits.

1. For those that have been- is a luau worth it?

I forgot about that one. I will be using q1 tomorrow as thr fhr I'm staying at is a Hilton.
Not being able to get gc is a bummer but I also forget that I have them all and I need to figure out a stay with them for 2027 or something.

We were in Maui in 2023 before the fire and did the Feast at Lele luau and loved it. I don't think it's back, though. I've heard good things about the Old Lahaina Luau.

We hiked Diamond Head in Oahu and loved Volcanos National Park on the Big Island.

I sent DH because I didnt feel like going. He just returned with a plethora of Mexican Coke and Kind Bars. He said "well that was super awkward" I will report back if get t he credit or if I just overpaid for Coke.

Ugh. Did I do something wrong when I rescheduled my AA flight that changed for free? I went from a 1 hour layover to almost 6. Email said you can reschedule for free. Chose 2 layovers vs 1 that got us in a little over 2 hours later than the original. But it changed my flight out of Maui to economy vs premium economy and this was the same flight I was originally on.

I freaked out a little and called AA. They were able to get me back in premium economy. But this begs the question, did I miss something in changing? I just followed the link from the email and it launched the AA app to pick a flight.

1. I think I’m in the minority but didn’t enjoy the luau. We did the Aulani one but just not my jam.
2. Oahu - Kualoa Ranch has lots of activities to choose from. We did a movie set tour but they also have zip lining and UTVs
Maui - Road to Hana. Get the app that you will guide you and tell you where to stop.
