My Target gift cards were delivered according to Target. Of course they are no where to be found. I'm wondering if the delivery was to the local post office. And the tracking information is useless. Reminds me of the good old days of ordering disney gift cards from target!

That just gave me flashbacks.

The good old days. I still can’t believe what we got away with.

I can’t remember why we would do this? Was it something like we bought Target gcs on ebay and got Ebay Bucks (lol) and then used those to buy Disney gcs at Target? Target let us buy gcs with gcs? I do distinctly remember having to scrape off all those codes…

Most are any MC. My Best Buy offer terms had AA MC, but not sure if it's enforced.

Moot point though as looks like the offer is dead. 5x banner is gone.

You could pay with Target gift cards, still get the red card discount, and go through mypoints or another shopping portal and get money back.

Mine did show up which is good because I'm probably going to run into my office tomorrow and my direct reports are getting Target gift cards.

Here’s how Christmas shopping is going for my 12 yo daughter. She’s in the dreaded stage… she’s decided she’d like to change her style to … grunge. So I bought all these reusable Christmas boxes which double as cute decor and have added photo examples to the outfits I bought. For example, beanie, rocker t-shirt and dr martens along with the “style photo.” Here’s hoping she likes what she gets or will at least return it to get what she wants, rather than shoving it in her closet corner.






My son and gf have a cat and she asked for a pet portrait ornament. Turned out cute.





And in other news, the worker shortage has gotten really dire- I snapped this shot while out in the world. My sister said they’re targeting husky employees to load the trucks now. I’m sorry, I’ll show myself out…

My only thoughts on the close would be, does she listen to gnr and pink floyd, otherwise I'd look for bands she listens to. And where's the flannel? But that might be the seattle coming out in me.

Also, neither of those bands are grunge if we are talking actual grunge music but I also don't know if the current, we need to dress like the 90's again, is going with the same music or just rock/alternative music.

I'd totally hire the driver in the last pic. I've been trying to get Dude to get a job since he was a puppy and haven't had success, so good on its owner

But for real, yesterday I got TWO UPS deliveries about an hour apart. The delivery person was driving a very expensive Infiniti SUV and dressed in nice jeans and a hoody. He rang the doorbell so he was getting in his car when I grabbed each package. The first time he said "I'm UPS" and I just smiled and thanked him. The 2nd time, I looked confused since he was JUST at my house an hour earlier. He laughed and said "I'm filling in and don't know what I'm doing...I'm from Atlanta and work in IT and just helping out". I have no idea if that's true, but it was certainly weird!!

I feel miserable that my kids have nothing really "fun" under the tree. Past the kids stage, Christmas is almost a wash for presents. But my 12yo keeps saying how happy he is that he'll be waking up at my house this year (last year was the first they did Xmas morning at their dads). So I feel the pressure to make it "magical". Though he has said that it's mostly because I make cinnamon rolls, LOL.

I feel like w/ all the money I've spent recently (new skates, concert tickets, car repairs, etc) that the kids have already gotten their christmas. I mean at the end of the day I am still a single mom and teacher, LOL. But my mom was the type who had $5k of presents under the tree and still spoils my kids. In fact some years she's had me wrap her gifts "from Santa" since she always bought them so much. But I truly do want to get them a spring break trip. So maybe I'll "wrap" that up, and notes for passports, LOL.

I have their passport apps filled out, I just need to get the photos. I'll try it myself since (I mean I AM a photog) since CVS did so bad. I have a white backdrop I can throw up if needed.

LOL. I was never that crazy.. I would generally buy Target GCs from GC sites at 10~15% off then turn and use them on Target's site with the Redcard 5% to buy Disney GCs until I got a batch of like 10 cards all un-activated. Took a week or two of calls to get that worked out, turned out that their activation machine lost its connection but continued to 'activate' cards successfully without actually sending anything out. First few calls with this rep was not looking good had to read her all the numbers off of every card to research and such then finally I guess more and more people started contacting them and they figured it out. Have to say tho her keeping contact with me and providing updates kept me from loosing it as it was a few $k of cards. Using GCs to buy GCs I had no recourse so I slowed way down after that.

I've had that happen too and the other day I was driving out of our neighborhood when I saw a lady with her trunk open and it full of boxes. Initially I thought "is she up to no good"? Then I realized that she was walking towards the house with a box but she at least had a safety type vest on that said UPS on it. One year in our neighborhood they dumped all the packages at the beginning of the neighborhood and then delivered them all on a golf cart train. It was very cute - made me want to ask if I could drive it and he could deliver!

I’m super lucky I never got locked out. At one point, I had over $15k cycling through in advantage of a whole family trip. That could have been a nightmare.

The new Chase Ink Premier has soft launched. Another CIP and first 3 letters are the same...wonder what we should call it? CIPm?

SUB is 100k for $10k spend, $195 AF, earns 2 points on everything. Don't see many benefits listed yet. It's a charge card, but given the low CL they've been giving on biz cards, I wonder how much people will be able to charge. SUB looks pretty comparable to CIU/CIC in terms of points to spend.

Total on the SUB is 120k (with the 2x everything), if valuing URs at 1.5 cpp, subtract out the AF, gives 16% back on spend.

A CIU with 1.5x would be 17%. If you can use the categories on a CIC, it would be more.

Quoting myself with an update on the new Chase Ink card. OMAAT and TPG are reporting that the points will not be combinable with other UR, nor will it have transfer partners. So the points are only worth 1 cpp. What a big disappointment!
