Picked up another $1000 in Visa gcs today. Stopped at Food Lion and converted my first $1000 for the week. Hoping for at least three more trips.
I have a question about Chase product changes. I would like to downgrade or change my CSP. Hoping to get a new SUB later. I am currently at 0/24 and have the following Chase cards:
SW premier and plus
Chase Freedom
CSP
Disney Visa
Marriott Bonvoy Visa
Any advice on what I can change my CSP to and still get the SUB for a new CSP later?
OMG....I am getting a letter in the mail that I can see in my Daily Digest today from the Funeral Home closest to me. Looks like it is making me and my family aware of it's services. I got a card from some company a few years ago, but this is my first from the real deal.
Add to that my ex brother in law passed on Saturday night from a rare skin cancer. He was a year younger than me. I am grieving along with my kids and the extended family as he was a great guy and I feel so bad for his wife and kids (20ties). From start to finish it was just a few short months before he was dead. His younger sister died just a year ago. So my kids have lost an aunt and an uncle in just 1 year.
I really don't like to be reminded that life is fragile. I want to live until I'm about 90. Wonder how I'll feel about it then?
I also have a letter from Amex...wonder what that is?
Crowds are ok. Most everyone masks inside/in queue. Cast members consistently asking people to mask if they aren’t. I get your hesitation. I wouldn’t bring anyone unvaxed to the parks. We’ll be there Wednesday but only for two nights. We’ll be at boardwalk and I’m not sure we’re going in the parks at all
I’m only hesitant because of crowd levels. We will only have 1 full day so I’d like to spend it at the resort since we’ve never stayed at the boardwalk before. If we do go in a park it’ll just be Epcot for some food. Ours schools here start tomorrow so hopefully crowds won’t be bad if other schools are also startingCrowds are ok. Have you applied for any non-Chase CC in the last 24 months? Those would count also.ok I think I messed up.
PC'd my CSR to CFU
waited Fri-Tues and applied for CSP thru p2's support link
got denied
next day letter said i applied for too many cards.
But I haven't.. Did a MDD for sw about 6 months ago and United about 1/5-2 years ago. nothing else in my name
p2 did csp but I'm not on that.
was hoping for a sub as I have some things coming up. would've loved to restock my UR and done a PC to csr at some point
Maybe P2 should do one of the united cards? I have a 20 year old amex hilton that is now a surpass. haven't seen a good upgrade to aspire.
any thoughts? or just wait it out for me.
still have 2 FNC from Hilton to use, availability's been tight. Am using 2 for Iceland as well as UR for airfare!!

Ugh…on the heat rain etc…hopefully everything improves…I’m interested in what you thought of Tuscany Village…we have it and a Marriott booked for December and need to decide which to keepWe're at WDW now. The parks are not that busy but lines are longer without Fastpasses. The heat is horrendous. I'll take 50 Chicago winters before I come to Florida in summer again. Bad decision on my part.
We did spend 3 nights at Hilton Tuscany Village and now at Swan. I'll,post pics and a mini review for those doing the timeshare presentation after we return home.
We've had some bad luck with rides too. We were on Expedition Everest on the first climb when it stopped, stuck in blazing sun for 10 minutes before it started running again. Today, on ROTR we were boarding group 64. Ride went down twice, we were finally called around 3 pm, got partway through before it went down again. They gave us a 'fastpass' for later but must be used today. When we came out of ROTR, it was raining. Ended up walking back to Swan in rain since boats weren't running. Yay
Enjoy the boardwalk….the walk to Epcot is great….my daughter’s arriving Friday and I have them booked in a studio there…not really happy about them taking a 7 month old to FL right now..and my son who lives in Orlando has told her not to come but they are..it is what it is and I’m just praying everyone stays healthyI’m only hesitant because of crowd levels. We were at the GF last week and found crowds at resorts doable. You can consciously social distance if you make an effort to and wait to board the elevator if you choose to. I know our kids are around the same age and no time did I feel uncomfortable with him being around too many people. We did do one park day at MK and it helped that we went about half an hour after park opening so you don't run into the rope drop crowds. After lunch at CRT, we went back to our resort to hang out and only went back to have dinner at LTT. We went on only a few rides (Small World, Pooh, Little Mermaid and Pirates) since it had short waits and we weren't around too many people since the line kept moving.I’m only hesitant because of crowd levels. Anyone do a refi through better with the Amex offer? It's all the talk on one of my FB pages. I refi'd last year, but people are getting 2.5% and they are getting $2k back from Amex, which likely would cover most of my closing costs. I got 2.99% last year. So getting 2.5% would be nice. There's no harm in applying right?
I just completed a refi with Better, using the Amex offer. It was super duper simple and straightforward. Started the process on 6/29, closed on 7/23, and received my Amex credit on 8/6. Would 100% recommend
So was the entire process 100% digital? Are the papers e-signed and sent via email? How did they do the appraisal?this reply shows up as being the "quote" so wanted to clarify that my "reply" was this:

I'm in the process of a refi now. I haven't gotten to closing yet but so far everything I've had to do has been digital. they did ask if my wife and I could meet in person to sign the final papers but I think if you have to do digital they can do it. They will have an appraiser contact you. Mine is coming tomorrow. So was the entire process 100% digital? Are the papers e-signed and sent via email? How did they do the appraisal?
Are you able to cash out once the credit hits? My AMEX has a zero balance and I want to put the funds back into my account to offset the closing costs.this reply shows up as being the "quote" so wanted to clarify that my "reply" was this:

If Ds was younger we wouldn’t be going. Now that he’s a little older we feel more comfortable but we also won’t put ourselves in situations that will make us nervous.Enjoy the boardwalk….the walk to Epcot is great….my daughter’s arriving Friday and I have them booked in a studio there…not really happy about them taking a 7 month old to FL right now..and my son who lives in Orlando has told her not to come but they are..it is what it is and I’m just praying everyone stays healthy
That makes me feel better! We have another trip in September and I doubt we will rope drop after seeing what crowds are like. We got really lucky in May when they let everyone in early to ride rides at MK. We never had to stand in a crowd or line. We have 1 TS scheduled in September but not sure if the time will work out or not otherwise it’ll be all qs. My son was surprisingly good waiting in line which we did not expect! Both of us would hold on to his hand and just talk to him/point things out if it was an interactive que. We tried to social distance for him at times by having one of us walk in the front and then my brother would bring up the rear so we controlled how close we were to people. That makes me feel better!
