Has anyone gotten the credit or are they really taking all the time the terms say they can? Part of why I'm waiting. Sure I can pay but then I end up with a credit 6 months from now instead of the cash I had to pay on the cc this month.
I read the comments on DoC and it seemse like people were getting them in three days. Then people started saying they weren't getting the emails for gift card purchases. I did get an email.

My thoughts (IMHO)
#1- Probably the only compelling reason to stay onsite and pay extra.
#2- meh
#3-outweighed by the ridiculous resort parking fee
#4-possibly a benefit (but at too high a price in general)
#5-what bubble?
#6-doesn't exist right now. A gigantic hassle to setup when it did exist, but admittedly of benefit when right there in the moment at times.
I'm the guy who wasn't even sure he wanted to stay at Swan this year because it wasn't "Disney" enough for me so I'm probably their ideal customer, lol. I'm a walk to the parks every day kinda guy now!

The loss of extra magic hours doesn't phase me as much as the loss of MDE. The hassle of dealing with luggage is huge to me. And for families, needing to travel with car seats is HUGE. A big reason we went to WDW regularly when my kids were younger was this and the inter-WDW free transportation. It just made travel so much easier (and cheaper). Will this deter families committed to that "dream" WDW vacation - no. But it definitely erodes the "Disney Bubble" experience and can eat away at the margins - visitors who were on the fence between off site vs onsite. It makes me personally more likely to stay offsite (hello, Hilton points). For our next trip specifically - we were debating all nights at Disney and a day trip to Universal, or 2 nights at Universal and 5 at WDW.

I wouldn't be surprised if our group here suddenly started to have A LOT more off-site stays due to how easy it is for all of us to earn various points that do nothing as it relates to WDW on site trips.

We do have DVC, so we will definitely be on site as well, but I can see us using Hilton weekend certificates and save the weekend-premium cost in DVC points!

I will miss Magical Express. It means that when family spends a few nights with me, that I will be picking them up or dropping them off at the airport, which is what I did before Magical Express. It's not a huge deal for me, but it was a convenience that I took advantage of, last time was Nov 2019, when a friend drove down with me for the first few nights, then took Magical Express to the airport.

Early entry at 30 minutes - seems pretty short in that there will be offsite people starting to line up to get into the parks, depending on what time the parking lot opens.

I used to love early entry at MK, AK and HS. But, I've been there where after getting in, I had to work my way through a crowd to get into the park.

Ok, I’m really trying to make sure I’ve got the right card assigned to all of my recurring payments.

The cards I have: CIC, CSR, CSP, CFF, CFU

Payments I’m wondering about:
1. Hulu
2. Apple (the card attached to my Apple ID and primarily used by my kids to buy crap in their game apps, but also used for movie rentals and the like)
3. Spotify
4. Xbox One (Xbox Live membership plus more game crap bought by my kids)
5. YouTubeTV

I don’t *think* any of these qualify for special treatment under my other cards, so I’m assuming the 1.5x from CFU is my best bet, but didn’t want to miss out on anything.

I'm still waiting on credit from spend $500, get $25 back. My purchase was 1/6 also and usually the credit posts by now. I thought I'd read people have had the credits post.
Did you get the "you just used your offer" email? I made a $500+ purchase earlier, but did not get an email. Usually, I get the emails for offers right away.

Update: My Amex offer credits posted ($25 back on $500) yesterday, 1/15. :)

I tried answering your question last week. Note: CFF has the same 5% categories as plain CF.

And the Chase link that I got that image from is HERE.

No email for me, but looks like no one is getting the emails for this one.

Spotify codes 5x for me on the CIC. Im willing to guess Hulu and YouTubeTV may but u would need to test it to see.
Apple cards, ur best to go to office supply store with your CIC to earn 5x, or a drug store with your CFU to earn 3x.
Xbox One, u would want to buy them via yearly and they usually sell at a discount elsewhere. if not, i do believe they sell them at 5x at an office supply store.

The CIP is a good choice since you can meet the spend. You get 100k URs for $15k spend, $95 annual fee. The Chase Ink Unlimited or Cash are good too at 75k for $7500 spend, no annual fees. Take a look at the spend categories and see if any fits your business. CIU is 1.5x everything. After you get any of these cards, you can then support your DH to get one for another 20k. T
Can I apply for a United explorer card and then apply for the CIP? Or should I wait any time between cards? I want to make sure I have enough points to book flights soon from Houston to Germany (planning a May trip).

you want to apply CIP first(approved) before you go for a united explorer. Chase biz cards require u to have no apps within the last 30 days.

Oh thanks for the CIC gift card reminder! I’ve started doing that with Amazon but need to do better about capitalizing on that.
