I was approved for a CSP about two weeks ago but still have not received it in the mail. Is this typical? I am wondering if I need to request another card.
It seems a little long. I just got my CSP in 10 days. The only issue with requesting another card is that you may end up getting the first one before another one arrives and I think that first one won't be any good if you request another. You could ask for the new one to be expedited then at least you should have it in a few days.

I think Hilton Biz and Amex Gold Biz are my next cards.

And I'm now 26 hours post second vaccine shot. I had symptoms starting at hour 9 (I'm precocious) and was miserable last night but feel pretty darn good now. Glad it's over!!!
My whole family had virtually no effects from dose two. I was super tired 48 hours later, with a headached and queasy, but it only lasted a couple hours. Everyone else was fine.

I'm planning a road trip to check out some college campuses with DD after school ends. A one-way car rental from Cleveland to Baltimore is going for over $2000 :scared: on Costco. I currently have a one-way rental from Pittsburgh to Baltimore at $700 and I will just stick with that!

I DH was *this close* to applying for the Gold Biz, the 80k MRS for $6k is appealing. But now I can’t it to pull back up.

Oh my gosh!!! That's insane. But the road trip sounds fun:)

I have an "offer" on my BCB for 90,000 MRs. Hoping it's still there. Would like to wait a bit longer because I'd like to use it to pay q3 taxes (due 9/15).

Been going thru a similar exercise with DD - pretty much decided it is just cheaper to fly between cities than it is to rent a car for the trip - esp with SW and companion pass. :thumbsup2

Amex has new elevated Hilton SUBs, including the Biz card ($150 Statement credit & 150,000 HH, $2K MSR).

Thank you for bringing this here. I am thinking of that Hilton Biz.

We are almost done with our home remodel but still need all the appliances, bathroom accessories, and some details. I can easily meet a good chunk of spend with those. I am 1/24 with a CSR, CIPx2, Amex Plat, Hilton Surpass, and Citi AA biz. We would pay off the rest of the house purchases as soon as we buy them.

I was trying to come up with my next steps and I think I've settled on this for me:

Amex Gold (hopefully with a 75k offer) - the Plat isn't worth the AF for me although I would keep it one more year (so 3 years) for the $200 hotel credit and to hopefully avoid the popup in the future.
CIU - UR are my most convenient currency since we are coach travelers as a family of 6 and getting 1.5 through the portal is great for cheap flights.
Hilton Biz - we don't do many hotels now as a larger family but my son is entering college next year, with another one following the next year, so we will be 4 people traveling soon.

My P2 is 0/24 and I think I would like him to do a MDD - does he just have to downgrade his CSR to a Flex (or whatever) and then wait...how many days? He is past 48 months since his CSR bonus.

To apply for the Hilton Biz, is it the same as Chase with my name and SS? Anything I am missing? Thank you for any advice. It feels like forever since I've applied for a card!

ETA: SW isn't really something I'm interested now - maybe later when there are less of us traveling at a time.

Anyone else watching all the info about the Disney Wish? Guess I know what I need to start saving for after Aulani.
Nov 2022?
The rooms look amazing and DD4 will be in frozen/Princess heaven.
I'm hoping to sail March 2023 (DD's spring break).

I'm trying to wrap my head around my "escrow" now that I handle it. If I take my taxes and insurance and add it up, it equals about $500/mo I need to save. So I'm putting aside $500. I got a check for $334 from my balance. My taxes are due September and then December. And I think my insurance is October.

I have the savings to borrow from, so that's not the issue. I guess I'm trying to figure out, how keep track of the accounting. This is the one instance that the CPA ex-husband might be handy. In running a quick spreadsheet, it looks like I'm going to always be borrowing in October and December to cover those bills. I will have enough in the account to pay the September taxes.

Can anyone explain and easy way to collect escrow myself, without having to borrow from my savings? Do I have to play catch up? I mean for now I can borrow from my savings, but I would love for it to balance itself out so I'm not doing that. My mortgage wanted to up my payment by $300/mo to play catch up plus have the extra balance they require.

4 days after you PC out of a Sapphire is what I've read.

For the Hilton biz, yes, same as Chase, sole proprietorship, your name as business name. Approval is usually easier than Chase. Don't forget to use a support from your DH if he has any Amex cards. Some of the supports are elevated now.

I'm going to have DH apply for the Hilton Biz too. Interested in any nuances of applying for an Amex Business card.

If I were you, I would take it from your savings. You could borrow it from your savings and take 12 months to pay it back.

I have a spreadsheet I could email you, that would help you decide how much you need to save each month.
