Hmmm did DISboards change the way we tag people? Didn't it used to be @SouthFayetteFan? Mine doesn't seem to be working.

In any event I am considering dipping my toes in the support link arena on reddit but I am not understanding about how to format them in the instructions at the top of the thread... is a PM the best way to get clarification or....?

ETA: I see it did tag him after all. Weird. Maybe it's because I am using a different computer. It used to be when I start typing "@South".... it would give me a little drop down of all the options.
Posting on Reddit is actually pretty easy.

1) IMO: It's easiest to use on the desktop version in old reddit. Go here: https://old.reddit.com/r/DISchurners/ And just make sure it always says "old.reddit.com" when you're on each page.
2) Hit Enter TWICE to create a separate paragraph/line

There's more fun ways to format if you do a quick search but I won't bore you guys with all of those details here. Here's a quick guide on some of the things you can do: Reddit Formatting Guide

And lastly, the instructions for creating a link are right at the top of each support thread:
...To convert your link to text use the following format: [Card Name](Link Here)... Make sure your link includes the "http://" at the beginning and the ".com" at the end...

We've also sort of relaxed the "no raw links" rule although I still think it looks cleaner if you format them as clickable card names :D

I think it stopped working like normal around the time the links started spinning. I know people posted on the tech board which normally gets things sorted so I'm guessing whatever it is must be outside their control :confused3

Is there a special AA number I need to call to get my res # for MDE or just the general 1-800 number on the site? TIA

Trying to knock down my to do list.

Ok you are on card member year. (For older cards, applied for prior to mid-2017, the credit reset on a calendar year basis. ) I would guess that your credit resets on your Feb statement close. In your UR dashboard there's a section that will tell you exactly how much of the credit you've used and when your next credit begins.

In the app I tap the dashboard button and scroll down, then I see this section -

$300 Annual Travel Credit

Got it! You received your $300 Annual Travel Credit this year. Next year's $300 Annual Travel Credit will begin after your statement closing date in 05/2021.†

The website is similar, I remember scrolling through the dashboard to see it there too. But you have to look in the UR portal to see it. (Select your card, select one of the Ultimate Rewards links to open the portal, expand the Dashboard)

For me, I opened my card in April, my AF posts May 1, my credit resets at the statement close in May.

Thanks for the detailed response! The travel credit wasn't showing in my main benefits dashboard. I had to go to Rewards Activity, then Benefits. As you said, it resets when my statement closes in Feb (the 27th). I definitely remember being able to pay my DVC dues in years past

I am going to use my travel credit and then PC to another Chase card. After reading on Flyertalk it looks like I have 40 days from the AF posting to downgrade and get the AF refunded. I have never double dipped so we will see how this goes!

Also, no Amex credits for the restaurants or MF yet. Still waiting.

So for the Amex spend $500 and get $25 Dh suggested we PayPal each other the $500. There’s a 3% fee. Does anyone think this is worth it or see something wrong with this?
I've considered doing this, but my paypal is my business account, so I didn't want to deal with writing off all the $500 charges at tax time, or trying to explain what those charges were if we did get audited... Just something to consider. At least on DHs side I can sent a legit looking invoice from my business account so it looks less fishy to AMEX...

Not sure if you’re talking about AAVacations or not, but if so, here’s how I did it a little over a year ago (pasted from the old thread)

I’m behind so not sure if you got it figured out yet or not, but I just added a confirmation number from AAvacations a couple weeks ago and can tell you what I did that worked. It’s in the email confirmation that they sent. Go down to where it says “your itinerary” and under that it gives a huge confirmation number that is two long numbers separated by a dash. The number that worked for me is the second number. The one after the dash. For me it was a 10 digit number beginning 1609xxxxxx.

Person to person payments don't earn points with Amex, don't think this would work. There are also data points of P2P leading to financial review.

Thank you both for the responses. I’ll let him know we shouldn’t do it. That’s why I came here first!

That is what I'm looking for, sorry I was trying to ask before running out to an appt. I tried searching the old threads and I wasn't getting anywhere.

I don't have a dashed number. I have an 8 digit booking number for the overall reservation and a 13 digit confirmation number for the room. Then another confirmation number for the car.

I'll try to find time to call tomorrow. I was hoping to call while I was out, hard to make calls from home without interruptions lol and now the migraine has hit. I need some consistent weather.

I have several Free 1-4 Hyatt night certs. If I were to stay at a cat 4 in February would it make sense to use points instead of the FNC since we get points back? Am I overthinking this? lol Have till the end of the year for the FNC so hoping can use them at another time if we don't now.

Seems like for me it was just trial and error, I put in numbers from that email until I got one that worked. File under proof that I’m not of the phone calling sort lol. Sorry about the migraine, those can be the worst. Wish I could be more helpful with a phone number.

Update on Florida Trip for Me, DS22 and DD19 for March.

Flights - Booked with SW Points 15,197 points per person ( DD is my Companion, so Free for her)
Hotel- Booked Cabana Bay at Universal - got good Seasonal Pass Rate - Total for 7 nights - $1100.25 (could not use points on this rate- paid 1 night with BOA that I am working on MSR on)
Car Service - 8114 UR Points for RT to and from hotel
Universal Tickets - 69,222 UR Points for 4 Day/3 Park to Park Passes - Will upgrade to Seasonal Pass when we get there.
Discovery Bay - 38,342 UR Points for 1 Day includes Upgraded Premier Drink Package and 14 Day Access to Sea World/Aquatica
Discovery Bay Cabana - $300 (Used BOA that I am working in MSR on)

So I only need to pay for the remainder of the hotel and food/drinks. DH has a $1300 credit on his AMEX Delta Card from some other cancelled travel plans. Do you think I can use that to pay for room and for expenses even though he will not be with us on the trip. I have no problem using the card on a day to day basis but not sure if they will require him there to use this at hotel. Or would it be better to use it and buy Universal Gift Cards in advance and put on the room?
