I'm in the office three days a week now and I refuse to put anything more than mascara on. I use to do a full face of makeup, but I'm not putting on foundation and blush for a mask to cover half my face. I haven't had foundation on since March!
So I'm older than you so need makeup more than you do:) but sometimes I make sure I put my cc cream on because it's got sunscreen in it. But that's about all I do most days. But I agree, with a mask, what's the point.

Question 1): how long after activating Amex Platinum Gold status did you see it reflected in your Hilton and Marriott accounts?

2) has Chase relaxed on their business approvals at all? I am in the mood for some new cards but would prefer business cards so we don't mess with 5/24--we are both at 3/24 although December DH will be 1/24 and I will be 2/24. I just need to be able to do the SW CP next year. In fact, because I can't come up with a plan for myself I might go into noob mode. Special requesting circles and arrows! (OK, not that bad. But I have lost all card direction in my life).

We put about 2500-4k a month onto cards.

We've both also had the SPG biz cards so no Amex Marriott biz for us. Ever. :sad1: We fly SW (cheap) & Alaska (when we want to splurge on a non stop), don't do tons of hotels for long trips as we tend to go more AirBnB but will do the occasional Marriott a couple nights per year. We both have Marriott Gold and DH has Hilton gold thanks to Amex Plat. I like UR's, Avios, MR's, RR's, and long walks on the beach :teeth:.

Quick Q: Is your husband eligible for Sapphire cards currently?

Oh and to answer your question, Chase has not relaxed things on biz cards at all. It’s virtually impossible right now 😔

That makes me sad. DH has never had any Sapphires'. I have sometimes thought about downgrading mine to refer him to the CSP but I like my CSR too much to be without one. Haha!

Ha! I could definitely use some under eye concealer, but I'm not wasting it right now lol. I keep getting instagram ads for this really nice looking foundation. I was about to click on the shop but then I was like "what's even the point? lol

Anyone happen to have a Wayfair first time customer coupon laying around not being used? I know I tossed one recently. I've found the light for my office finally and was hoping to stack a bit more savings with the Amex offer.
I just got one in my Home Chef box today if you are still looking for one. It is 10% off.

For those who have a BoA Prem Rewards card, and have travel credit left - I used it for <$50 SW fares with the intent of converting to RR, and it looks like it worked. I can see I've use $99.96 of my travel credit on the website, although the statement credit hasn't officially posted.

I was going to try this, but was too chicken. I ended up buying an aa gc and listed it with raise.

When I was WFH I still got up and put makeup on and did my hair, albeit not as much. I'm back in the office now with no mask requirement so back to my normal routine. My DH was/is WFH so I tried to look somewhat nice for him and for the daily Teams calls we had. And I just feel better about myself when I put it on. Even at WDW last month I did my full makeup routine (lipstick included). At times I wondered what the point was, but I'm so used to it it would have felt incomplete without it. I'm someone who (almost) always gets ready the same even on the weekends though. I know a lot of ladies don't though. To each their own!

i believe that deal requires you to have dashpass... 1 year offer of dashpass if u have a CSR. CSP, Freedom and CFU have like a 3 month pass.

Thanks for explaining this. I'll have DH look into it since he has a CSR. :)

I'm amazed that people are dressing up for WFH. I live with 2 people who WFH right now, and one wears T-shirts and shorts with no makeup (heck, she went in today dressed like that), and the the other is walking around right now, on a conference call, wearing a dressy shirt and Nike basketball shorts. :rotfl: Maybe it's a regional thing, or an industry thing, but even my friend who normally really dresses up for work is wearing her yoga pants now when she is WFH.

Sometimes Dh doesn’t change out of his pjs until mid day 🤷🏻‍♀️ All of his meetings are phone calls instead of video chats.

I dress up for clients and probably have 1-2 client meetings most days. Often i wear a nice top and kahki shorts. But a whbm shift dress was easy to throw on this morning.

I’m going to drop some harsh truths. Anyone considering staying under 5/24 for more Chase cards may want to seriously reconsider your strategy. Map your escape plan and break out of 5/24 as soon as you reasonably can. Don’t let a Chase slot keep you from applying for a really good offer from another issuer. Chase has some good cards, but they’re increasingly hard to get and trying to stay under 5/24 is a ball and chain that’ll keep you from seizing opportunities where there still are some. We’re in unprecedented times, and no one knows how deep or long this recession will be. Banks are mitigating risk and tightening up. Chase biz cards are practically impossible to get as a sole proprietor business now, much less a “business” you’ll have no shot at reconning. Even Chase personal cards are getting harder to get approved for. People are reportedly getting denied for lower tier cards like the CFU that were once considered starter cards and the easiest cards to get approved for. There seems to be more scrutiny in Chase’s underwriting regarding inquiries and velocity in approvals. Chase also seems to have their bust out meter dialed up to 11. In the last two weeks, I’ve seen several reports of all Chase biz and personal cards getting shut down. Among the reasons given: too many accounts opened recently; too many requests for credit or reviews of credit; rapid increase in revolving balances. Chase also seems to have started soft pulling customer credit reports on a frequent basis. This could disclose information about card accounts and balances from other issuers since your last hard pull from Chase. MSing and chasing new credit card SUBs may be commonplace in churning, but might set off alarm bells with Chase. If you want to stay off Chase’s radar, the only safe haven seems to be Amex biz cards for now, since they rarely hard pull and still don’t report.

But... But... But.... What is there's a bomb new CSR-esque card I won't be able to get? I clearly have never gotten over being locked out of the 100k CSR. Ha ha!
Honestly I have entertained the idea of just breaking free and then I chicken out. But I guess that was in the days of easy Chase biz cards that kept me occupied. Without that it does make sense to get other cards...Ugh I just love UR, RR and Avios so much.

Churning world problems. :rotfl2:

I'm trying to figure out my next card, which I could apply for now as I've met the MSR on the citi card, once the treadmill actually posts. I was thinking Hilton Biz to add more from my surpass so I don't have to tap into my MR's, but that gold offer. I just don't know with getting the plat in Feb and then the Hilton in May and Citi Premier last month, which way to go. I'd planned on waiting until next month to figure it out and haven't even tried to pull the gold offer. But I also don't think the gold is a keeper for me since they don't code my main grocery store as grocery. I just don't know what route to go other than it's not a chase card.

Sapphire MDD for P2. Hit Amex while they’re still feeling generous. Amex may have limited the number of charge and credit cards you can hold at a time, but they’re still handing out big welcome and referral bonuses, subject to the pop up of course. MR transfers to Avios, occasionally with a transfer bonus. Holding a Biz Plat and selecting SW will let you redeem MR on Amex Travel for SW at 1.54 cpp using the 35% rebate. Airline credits still good for cheap flights.
