This is now us also.My husband has said no to any future cruises. This is the 2nd cruise we have booked and had to cancel due to National emergency. We've decided if we book a cruise we open the fires of hell upon us so we might as well not do it, (said tongue in cheek). We are just better off doing land trips.
Well, not the gates of hell thing lol. Neither DH or I want to take our planned fall cruise anymore. I'm willing to cancel it and lose all my points if needed. I'm just waiting to get info on how to proceed after phone waits calm down (I hope) I paid using UR 100%,and i have no idea if it's an early saver booking (no refunds, just cruise credits) or otherwise at this point, and I bought 'cancel for any reason' insurance. Anyone know how that works if paid with UR? Argh. And I was so excited a few months ago to book this.
With DD going to university in Edinburgh starting this Fall, we are going to be flying United a lot since right now they are our only one-stop option from Boise (thru Chicago) without having to do a re-positioning flight first. A one-stop from Boise all the way to Edinburgh is huge for us. I wanted DH to have his own United card so we can start using his miles and still be able to get the fares/awards that are for MileagePlus card holders only. We've always ended up booking out of my account since I was the only card holder and the only one who had these fares pop up in searches. When DD turns 18 later this year, she's the next get one since she also has a stockpile of United miles that we need to start using....
