Same! It'll be 6am here, I've already pre-warned the family that I'll be grumpy tomorrow.

I had to redo my SOG reservation and I can't get it into MDE yet, not sure if it qualifies for tomorrow or not. I'll continually try though. I'll be attempting my July, September and November stays if I understand correctly. I guess I should put some thought into those last 2 and get something planned out. If I had something booked for January I'd try it as well, but we haven't decided on that yet. APs have been extended, plus it sounds like we'll be getting one more month. We'll try to make the best of it.

Southwest changed BOTH of my flights yesterday. I'm super upset because it essentially turned 2 5-hour flights into 2 8-hour flights with 4+ hour layovers (which I was specifically AVOIDING with an infant.) My email SAYS I can change my flights, and when I look online through the regular booking window there APPEARS to be a flight the day before that's workable, but when I try to use the website to change my flight it tells me its unavailable. It's going to almost double our cost to cancel and re-book. If I call, will I be able to do the other flight (the one the works)? Our return flight we are just going to suck it up and deal with getting home at 3am because I don't want to have to be at MCO at 6am on the last day of my vacation.

Seriously. It's like I'm not allowed to go on this trip.

I got an email yesterday that my flights were changed also. I found flights that worked better, called and CSR fixed them for me. It would have been an hour on hold so I had them do a call back. I was charged no extra points.
 
I did not book with points because we had spent them all booking our cruise. :sad1:

I can book through Delta for the same money, but again, this leaves my with a travel credit I am VERY unlikely to use, and has my shelling out yet MORE money on flights that, at this point, will probably get cancelled or changed as well. (pessimism is setting in)

I'm assuming CSR is chase sappire and not customer service. ;) right?
 

sooooo.... maybe a stupid question, but how do ya'll feel about staying at a hotel,any hotel right now? (this summer) I'm feeling unsure myself.... my thoughts being the possibilty of more exposure for my family, but also the thought that in order to keep a hotel open, people have to be working there,and that's a risky for them,since they don't really know who will be coming thru their doors..... I'm not trying to be offensive to anyone, but I'd love to hear some perspectives from you all... at this point we are still staying at home in general as much as possible, wearing masks if out at stores etc,so I'm thinking we'd be wearing a mask in hotel etc.
I have a trip to NC in July. And I'm really hoping the BF let's me go to Vegas w/ him next week when he has to go for training. I'm also hoping that NC gets it's stuff together because I see lots of stuff closing back up down at my beaches. I'm honestly not worried at all. If we get it, we get. Maybe it's teaching 21 years and being exposed to EVERYTHING!

If you have ATT call retentions and ask for the deal that is $450 off any phone. You will have to HUCA more than a few times before you find a rep that knows what you are talking about. The only catch is you will not be able to get that offer again on that phone number for 2 years and you will put that phone number into a 2 year contract with ATT. I got my 11Pro doing this after reading about it on here - forget who originally posted it. I had to call many times; I almost gave up - so be persistent. MY DS will need a new phone soon. I plan to do the same when it is time.

I do have ATT and it was @LilSweetPeaPhoto that posted that info. I do have the phone number she sent me a long time ago. I really don't want to be locked into a contract though. I don't know why, lol, because I would switch in a heartbeat now if anyone else worked well so I am kind of stuck with them at this point. They did offer my a SE 256 GB for $15/month but it locks me in for 30 months and I really don't want that.
It's not a 2 year contract persay. It's more that you can't get the offer for 2 years again. I mean I guess if you left, they can come after you for an ETF. But that said, I've been w/ ATT or whatever version it's been for 22+ years. So I'm all about jumping on the $450 offer. Currently I have 1 line we can use this offer on. And in October, 3 more open up. When the new iPhone is announced in the fall I plan on upgrading my phone. I'll either sell my XS (which is basically new since I just got it fixed/replaced last week), or I'll give it to my 15yo. My mom got an 8 when we added my mom's line to my account. I have a busted 7 and 5s (screens) that are currently our emergency back ups. So my daughter's 8+ will move into that spot I guess.
 
So I guess I am finally going to update my Iphone 6. I was walking on some rocks in the middle of a creek and my phone decided to take a swim. Oops. Luckily DH was able to retrieve it out of the water because my case has some CCs and my DL. Will I be sorry if I just go for the new SE? My old one is almost 5 years old, so I don't need the newest and greatest, but I would like to know it will not be obsolete in a few years. Anyone have that one? I would love the 11Pro, but I don't know that I can justify that price.

I upgraded my 7 to an 11Pro several months ago because I wanted the better camera for our big trip that has since been cancelled. It took a while to get used to it (I miss the button) but I really do like it. And it takes great photos. DH called AT&T for the discount, but they basically wanted a contract and we just didn't want to have one. In my family, we sometimes take out the SIM and use another carrier abroad and I think it just sounded too complicated in the end.
 
I’m a little confused by the temporary Chase Saphire Reserve benefits. I went to use the pay yourself back feature for Home Depot, but it also listed a few grocery store purchases I could use my points on. However, those purchases have already been erased by my travel credit. If I say to use points to cover those, will they just give me an extra credit, or will they erase the travel credit so that points can be used on those purchases? That would be ok with me since the travel credit for grocery/gas goes until December, and sadly, I don’t see too much travel in my future, other than the few Marriott/ ihg nights I’ll need to use sometime later in the year.
You will get extra credit. They won’t restore the travel credit.

it was customer service. I’m thinking if they changed your flight you could try calling and they will be very helpful. I’ve been very happy with SW customer service.

Yup. As my dh was going to bed tonight, he was like, "good luck in the morning, hope it goes well." I was like, "Oh you will know! If you hear me over here gnashing my teeth at 5am, you will know exactly what is NOT going well" lol!

Agreed. I’ve had to contact SWA quite a bit for several issues over the last couple of months. It wa a bit of a debacle when they changed our Hawaii flight and rebooked us with 4 connections. I found a flight with a connection through a different airport that was much easier and they resolved the issue. Unfortunately, I had to cancel that flight a couple of weeks ago due to the quarantine in Hawaii, but had to call to get them to refund my Early Bird, which is not a usual practice.

My experience has been they are working with consumers to do the right thing. I’ve also been able to change flights with no flight difference as well. Best time to call is first thing in the morning, but their callback service is a great tool as well.

I did call this morning (since disney's IT is its usual hot mess and NOTHING is happening on the park reservation front) and only had to hold for 15min before i got customer service and it took 2 minutes to change our flight which is GOOD because there were only 5 seats left for the same fare level we booked. Now i just have to re-book/cancel 3 other things because we are leaving a day earlier.

They did put me in a two year contract for my phone only. It is in my account as " Your contract ends on" with the date. I am okay with that as I also have been using att for a very long time and don't plan to switch. My DS is also waiting for the new iPhone announcement to upgrade his phone.
