Thanks for the review. We go to Universal in February. No express pass for us so I'm hoping it's the same as when you were there and the weekdays won't be bad. Saved your post for all the food info, thanks!
We are going in Feb but I’m looking to do an express pass hotel for Friday and Sunday nights that way it will give us 4 days. Haven’t figured out where we are going to stay the rest of the time. The crowd calendar and others have said it will be busy.

Finished up the MSR on my last card yesterday and was approved for an Amex Biz gold card today! I'll be meeting the MSR with DVC dues when it arrives. Also used an Amex offer on my BBP at Staples to get 2500 MR for $100. When I got my receipt I saw that it had a coupon for $10 off $20 or more on my next purchase. Turned right around and picked up some cable organizers I was eyeing while in the store but used my Ink+ so I could get 5x. That was an unexpected bonus. I also had an Amex offer on the BBP for Total Wine for $100 and get 2,000 MR so I did some shopping there.

Minimum spend Sunday at my house: I had applied for and been declined the 80,000 point SW business card I’m October. This was pretty disappointing since the CP has been SOOOO valuable for us. Well, with the Max8 changes we had to do for our Oahu trip, we had to break up our travel into 2 days, this worked well and I now have 2 SW personal cards that need some love. Maybe a lot of love if I can’t get a business card later.
I had some difficulty helping mom with her application. She touched the screen while it was processing and we lost the application and couldn’t retrieve it :scared: :scared: . She did get a card on the second day. We will need to try to get her a business card also.

Its always so funny to see heavy posters of this thread out in the other threads, I totally feel the need to wave and say HI THERE!
A lot of my "Reactions" off of this thread come from people I know from this thread! It's pretty cool to interact with you guys in other places too because it's like we speak a secret language that the other DISers don't. I feel like this happens with me and @PolyRob a lot!!

We started it last night, but I made my DH shut it off because I felt like it was going to be a tear jerker and I just wasn’t in the mood to cry.
I haven’t cried but it sure makes me hate the movie Balto
Thoughts on Togo for my girls? (9 and 6)... Good movie, too sad, anything inappropriate...??

It is kind of sad at the end but I thought overall it had a nice ending. It almost ends on a happy note. I don’t remember anything inappropriate. It has some scenes when he’s trying to get back home that might be “scary” in terms of you’re not sure if he’ll make it or not. Nothing pops out or anything. I’m just not sure what your girls normally watch.

Oh Boy...I just did a thing...

Cashed out another $5,000 URs. I don't plan to STOP earning URs... but given the recent issues with AA, I'm also not about to be sitting on any URs anymore either!! That brings me down to 45k left (although I'll be back up to 200k soon enough). I think I'll keep a balance of 50k or so and every time that I have 100k extra I'll cash out $1,000 going forward. (Just my plan, not advising others to follow suit...the fact that I don't really have a 1.5x use for URs and have a plethora of SW points makes this a workable solution for me).

Oh and to relate this to MSR Sunday, I'm just about done with the spend on a Chase Biz card for me (paid off my Disney trip in full today!) and waiting on a Chase Biz card to arrive for my wife this week. That'll be our focus for the next few months then.
I’m nervous about the chase stuff but I want to use the points next year for flights so we can’t cash them out. I do think I might try to do more with Amex next year to mix things up some

We're taking them to see Star Wars this week, lol. I definitely avoid profanity at all costs, I don't need my kids hearing that. I also wouldn't want to watch something that would cause a lot of fear or sadness because they have such big hearts and I could see a really sad story keeping them up at night or something like that.

You might have to watch it first and see what you think. It’s a little hard to watch him travel with the dogs and thinking they aren’t gonna make it. I don’t remember any profanity and if there was any it was very little. It was a pretty typical disney film.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Sometimes I'll watch things first, but it's always nice when we can watch a movie together as a family the first time too. Look at you, thinking like a MOM already! You're sooo gonna be great at this girl :D
