Speaking of snacks. I like to bake, but haven’t tried much candy making. Saw friends recipe making English toffee and decided to try making yesterday. Turned out pretty good!
That looks delicious!
Recent post over in the gift card deals thread from user LAX:

For those of you that used Chase offer on BJs.com and had your charge split up, I can report that my account was eventually credited after I submitted a screenshot of my order showing that it was one order over $150. I doubt it would have credited without getting a human involved.

I can’t even get them to respond properly. First response was one I quoted here with chase giving crazy wrong dates and saying my offer was expired. I responded to that, they said they would respond within 5 days, that was the 14th. I think I’ll try again, maybe with a screenshot

taking DD to the one restaurant she asked us to go to during her visit (a great dumpling place that is unfortunately placed in one of those awful mega-malls) and we managed to get in and out without dealing with the crazy shopping hoard that was all around us.

You are brave! I wouldn't go anywhere near Valley Fair on a holiday weekend!! Thought about using my $10 dining credit at CF but decided on Grubhub instead to avoid VF.

And free evening cocktails. I always got an extra glass of wine to take with me to dinner.

If I drank anything but water and diet drp/coke yes that would be a nice perk. I do prefer the canned diet cokes to the fountain stuff (ick) onboard so I try to consume the price differential :rotfl: I love when DCL haters say "can you drink that much in soda/pop/coke?" Yes, the answer is always YES!

Did you also immediately think, Din Tai Fung?

Exactly! I have a friend who had 4 babies (7-8 pounds) but they all hit 20 pounds in 6 months, whereas mine took well over a year to hit that weight. They all have their own growth charts and it's all normal, but not really standard. I just remember trying to help her and hold the baby while she dealt with another one and he threw himself back (the way babies do) and I almost dropped him, because at 16 pounds mine could hold on didn't do that stuff anymore, but this one was so young he needed much more support. Ah, I love babies! They are so precious.

Oh me too!!!! I miss having a baby and all the fun that came with that but then I realize how easy life is now with my youngest being 8 and that is nice too. I'm excited for @Haley R and all the other expectant mommas here!

All 3 of my babies are <6lbs (full term) and stayed in NB diapers for at least 2 months. My newborn right now is still swimming in her 0-3 month onesies. I'd forgotten how small and precious they are as babies, made my toddlers instantly look so much bigger overnight. Going back to waking up every 1-2 hrs is brutal though.

Update on my Disney+ saga....As far as the 'free' account, they are putting in a refund request to billing AGAIN but said they have 'no idea' how long it will take. Also, our 'free' account is being extended another 30 days. And for the 3 year subscription that we bought that has never worked, they are "working on it" and they "appreciate" our patience :furious:

Not sure if this instils any confidence in Disney IT, but I was just able to order our Annual Pass MagicBands today from our Dec 2017 AP's... So they do get stuff fixed... Ordered them anyway as I still want the AP band even if its just for decoration now. :rotfl2: Kinda funny because we upgraded our tickets to an AP 20DEC2017... Last year about this time DW's AP randomly showed back up on MDE and allowed me to transfer it to someone else, so it was almost like it was unactivated, we didn't have a trip planned so never got to see if it actually renewed automagicly for another year. Its since dropped off.

Well if it makes you feel any better, DS woke us up 3 times in 2 hours last night. He is 10.

They are little figurines! ShopDisney and Target have them!!! 3 sets... so cute! Pre-order only right now, but they will come around the time my plush and pop figures come 🤣

Where did you get your plush from? My kids are obsessed with baby Yoda. (Who am I kidding? Me and DH are too. I just ordered this for my newborn's photos.)

Merry Christmas! Loosen the purse strings!
We see a movie every month or two usually depending on the offerings. But always with discounted GCs and always the cheap shows (usually $5.60)
Yes, AMC between 4-5:30p.
Enjoy the movies and the time with your family!
Our DDs are 19 and 21 and they wanted to go see Frozen 2 the day it came out, so we all went and even brought DS 17 along. We had the oldest kids in the theater. Oldest parents too.

Wow, luckily my toddlers are sleeping through the night. But my older DD suddenly got scared of the dark (never used to be a problem) and we have to use a night light in her room.

ETA: And no, your lack of sleep doesn't make me feel better! I hope you all get some good rest soon!

Can we talk about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?!

I didn’t hate it. There are parts I even really liked.

What I liked most about The Rise of Skywalker was how it rendered The Last Jedi completely inconsequential. Quite literally, you can forget The Last Jedi ever happened and you’ll have missed nothing important to the story.
Good to know that we can forget TLJ...Sorry, can't talk about it yet. We'll be seeing the new one soon.
