Florida disers -- anyone prepping for Dorian? I went to Publix this morning and grabbed 12 jugs of water, some bread (to freeze) and some veggies. Hoping to avoid having to go again this week as I know it will get progressively busier as her path towards Florida becomes clearer over the next few days. The few days before Irma Publix was crazy, water shelf was empty for days and there were fights when they wheeled out a new skid. Since I hate crowds I am going to try to stay away until she passes. Will also head to Shell (maybe Costco if I'm feeling brave) to top up with gas tonight. Will also make sure dd keeps a full tank since she drives 40 miles (round trip) every day to and from school.

Mine is there also. I'm thinking that since 8/26 was the first day for this and that my last name is toward the end of the alphabet, mine just hadn't rolled out yet, yesterday.

I believe her arrival is Saturday or Sunday, but that can change at any time as she either picks up steam or loses strength. One thing to consider is that there will be rain on the weekend from the outer bands, depending on her track. Watch the charts and if necessary, I'd cancel at the last minute (last possible time) if necessary. The airlines will waive cancellation fees and start to cancel flights.

I cannot see a way to pay with miles for hotel/car. Can you post a screenshot of where you’re able to pay with miles? It’s clear with flight/hotel but that option disappears on my screen with hotel/car.

You are right I had the option with flights but not hotels. I might try calling in to see I’ll let you know

Citi peeps....I did just contact on chat. He gave me an AA dedicated number to call. He said he noted on my acct that I met the spend but another department gives the miles. I'm going to try calling and we'll see what happens maybe.

Yes I canceled biz #1 did a different offer and saw my miles for #2 there. I did a throwaway Expedia booking sonif they didn’t post I didn’t waste organic spend. Now I’ll do the 3k to avoid clawbacks and cancel the Expedia booking. It’s very ymmv - 2 people reported they didn’t get them miles

I may try this in October when I can go for card #2. Are you going to wait until you do another 3K before cancelling the booking? Or does that not matter once the points are there?

Thanks to all who posted on the D23 Disney+ deal. My DD has been going on about Disney+ for months so we were definitely getting in our house. A little nervous about committing for 3 years, but just signed up using Discover thru Paypal for the extra 5%. Didn't charge me any tax here in MA - possibly another bonus of paying upfront as I know there is talk of MA implementing a tax on streaming services soon.

Did anyone receive a confirmation email from Disney? I got a paypal receipt but nothing else.

No hulu - Just Disney+ - there will be bundles available in the future that include Hulu that will probably cost $11 or $12/month

I signed up yesterday before the promo emails went out and got the confirmation immediately after. Lots of people on the news thread haven’t received an email yet either. I assume the email servers may be slammed.
