Someone just posted they were able to purchase without issue a few minutes ago.
I had a problem once where despite it saying I used a GC to pay it picked up a dead CC I have saved on the account so the order got stuck in limbo. I chatted to get it cancelled, then re-purchased and it went through fine that time. So occasionally the system glitches out. Hoping that's all that happened to the OP.
Or the 50-60 uses in a year tripped something. Do people really buy Amazon GCs once a week to turn into another GC? Is that a normal volume?

I think you hit the nail on the head with the 50-60 comment. Remember, there are pigs in this hobby. They have no guard rails and ruin it for everyone else.

What was reported was the order went through but then was cancelled and the GC balance refunded, so not a problem with checkout. But there's two counter-reports of it working as expected, one on r/churning and one from @kidsfirsttrip . Personally, I think something else happened to the original reporter, but it's always good to keep on your toes with GC>GC plans - things can dry up at anytime.

Thank you for clarifying. I knew I must have been missing something. Hopefully it will not dry up soon.

Check your AmEx offers- I had the BB spend $250 and get 2500 MR on my Plat and BB spend $250 get $25 back on my Rose Gold. Now I am glad I delayed the purchase of DS laptop for school! Even more savings.

ETA: DH did not have the offers but he only has the HH Biz, Bonvoy Biz and AU on BGR.

MAJOR DISchurners Announcement!
I am pleased to inform you that DISchurners has added THREE new female moderators.

When I created DISchurners back in the fall of 2017, I could never have envisioned DISchurners growing the way that it did (to now over 300 members). @Albort has assisted me as a mod since the beginning and @Lain was added in May of 2018 due to his substantial knowledge of churning and great contributions to our community.

A few weeks ago, I started to think about adding some additional moderators there to assist with overseeing our community. I also have noticed that we have a strong female presence on our thread, yet have no female moderators. We have selected three ladies to join the mod team and "even the scales" so to speak - all of them have been with our group since the start and are well respected in the community. We considered numerous people and it was a difficult decision due to the plethora of quality candidates, that said, please congratulate these ladies and help me welcome our newest DISchurners moderators:

To earn hotel points you would need to spend lots of nights at one hotel brand or get cc signup bonuses. If you’re an occasional traveler who looks for the best deal you’re better off with your UR points for hotels. Some people like hotels.com due to the 1 night free after 10 nights and the discounts you can get on their gift cards.

If you really want “hotel points” you have to pick a chain... Hyatt has the smallest footprint but the best bang for your points redemption wise. Hilton is the worst for storing up your points in because they devalue their points like they’re the Argentine Peso but big footprint. Status with Hilton will get you more potential perks than status with Marriott. Marriott Bonvoy is middle road imho but the program is currently known for some epic screwups in the customer service department and not giving a darn. They do have a big footprint. You can get a feel for how many points/night you need by playing around with places you might go and selecting pay with points on the various websites.

After playing around with where you might want to go and finding out how many points you’ll need you could look at current credit card offers. If you want a fancy Hilton (like a Waldorf Astoria) the free weekend night certificate being given with the current cc offers is excellent bang for your buck if your hotel qualifies.

....aaaand I love/hate my Hilton stash..... I have a ton,and they're so easy to book and use.... I need more vacations! (DH would 100% disagree lol) so I just got the 'upgrade to surpass' offer on Dh's Hh basic that he already downgraded last year from the Ascend (hows that for confusing???) so same card basically. My issue is the MSR. It's'only' 3k, but in summer I don't have a lot of extra to play with,so it's spend on regular purchases,and Amex,from what I'm reading is no good anymore AT ALL (???) for gc purchase counting toward MSR? (like buying a grocery store brand gc ahead to use up,etc to hit MSR) I'm currently working on an Amex spend myself,but it's slow going b/c of that. Do I go for another upgrade? 3k/150k points is awfully tempting, but then I get annoyedb/c I have to ignore category bonuses for my precious UR's while doing this for Amex.... then again, it won't mess with our */24 status.... Is it really so bad to accumulate Hilton? I feel so rich right now...

Yea first CIP SUB pending! Now I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting for August so I can get P2 his first CIP from my support link and then use his support link so I can go for CIP2. We have no spend we are working on so I've spread my spend on a few cards to max the category. I'm also having to sit on my hands waiting for AA and Alaska airlines to show flights for our return dates for next year. Even though I know it's not going to be there yet, I just keep logging on trying to look at flights. I feel like the Macy's commercial from years ago, "OPEN, OPEN, OPEN."

Thanks. Maybe one day DH will have personal cards...and in 8 short months, I can finally add DS since he'll turn that magic age of 13.

I have the Peninsula offers also but have no idea where they are.

ETA: So it looks like a one night stay in NYC will only cost $900 before the $100 offer.
