Checking in from being "away" from the thread. Changing life up a bit and

I ran into an issue at DG in North Providence after coming from FD in Chepachet - 2 of my cards were frozen by Amex. It was released after a couple calls and a few days later. I won't load anymore than $500 per day, per card. I'm too chicken.

Just saw this and making note, thanks. I love all my RI peeps giving me DP's!

Hit up the FDs and DGs in West Warwick and Coventry. You can do 2500 per day according to serve. FD policy supposed to only be 500 per day but you can do more if you have a cool cashier.
I do not MS currently. Is there a write up somewhere explaining this process? We have a DG a few miles from my house but it's in a Podunk little town so I wonder if I would be able to even pull it off.

I had the strangest, randomest call for AmEx about my Biz Gold card. I don't typically answer 800 calls on my personal phone but for some reason I picked up. And the guy proceeded to pepper me with questions about my biz and reduced spend and the great category I could be earning 3x on. So I proceeded to explain how I get better points on other cards, etc. He talks about the new Gold benefits for $290 AF. 20 long minutes of talking to this guy...At this point I figure I am still good since I was auto approved for Hilton Biz. Note to self: DO NOT pick up 800 calls!

In my experience major cities are more difficult to MS in and little towns and suburbs are easier.

Basically get an Amex Green Serve card (free reloads but has a monthly fee which is waived if your balance is 0 so be sure to move your money out) buy a giftcard, go to DG/FD/Walmart and ask to load your serve card for that amount. At Walmart I hand them the serve card and then swipe my giftcard at the normal payment terminal and enter the pin. Then move the money out of serve.

Well it’s official. Unless something odd comes up in the inspection, we officially OWN A HOUSE IN FLORIDA!!!!!
Well it’s also official...we OWN A HOUSE IN PITTSBURGH...but you don’t see me going around bragging about it :P :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

JK JK!!! Congrats on the job and the house and the move!! I hope it all goes super smooth for you guys!

Whistler, here you come!

Yes indeed! I am already thinking about the crowds over the Christmas / New Years holiday, but this will probably the one and only time I can swing this kind of stay, so with flights booked and shy 120,000 Marriott points (which I will have dh transfer from his plat AmEx), off we go! Hope there is good snow this year! Lol -- just thought if I rack up enough AA miles we might be able to swing a 2020 holiday stay as well!!

I decided that I need new skiis (will buy on Black Friday sales) this year -- old ones are 13+ years old. We will take a group bus up to Whistler as I don't want to spend $500.00 for a private transfer each way.

Yeah, I've had a couple of these - want to talk about my business and other cards that might be beneficial, other services Amex offers... I think they just want us to get more cards - preaching to the choir:rotfl:
