Buddy is getting laser therapy on his leg for something similar to tendinitis. The vet sent a couple pics to my mom today and he's just too cute in his goggles. We won't talk about her fail of paying for it with her debit instead of her cc that she barely gets rewards in. But why does BofA make their debit and cc look identical? I should make a label for her.

Agreed. I was reading the Debt Dumpers thread this morning and, wow, were people getting snarky about buying phones for your kids when the poor person was just looking for an electronic learning toy for her 3 year old to play with. Poor DS has 2 of them since he got an upgrade for Christmas but doesn't want to give up his old phone and number and since it's only $35 we just kept it active. I, of course, did not post that there.

I’ve been following that thread a long time. Everyone over there is usually super nice also. Not sure where that one guy came from. He has only been on the boards for a few days and already has over 80 posts. And his comments were totally uncalled for. And irrelevant.

It got super weird over there fast when he showed up. It's usually a very friendly place. Hopefully he moves along to troll another board (not this one).

Mine finally arrived. Unfortunately I spent over $300 today before it came with car and glasses. I don’t have any big purchases planned to go through my MSR quickly.

My organic spend on DH's Bonvoy Biz is tragically high. And he just told me to expect a big vet bill on his horse. That vet doesn't take Amex, so I'm thinking maybe I'll apply for the Cap One Venture soon for GE credit and do that.

Your story is delightfully strange. Did you get a free night certificate at any point?

Yes. I got the 35K certificate on Dec 25,2018. I upgraded last minute when I saw the 50K offer and figured that between a higher value certificate and 50k points, it was worth $10 extra a year. I had to give up the night credit for 3k in spend, but I only use that card if I get an offer on it, so that was a non issue.

Maybe her vet would refund and recharge? My vet is great about all my crazy card usage to get my rewards LOL.

Our CIPs came in the mail today. We aren’t planning on meeting the MSR right away but we plan to take these cards to Japan to get some spend. We may just pay ahead on bills or student loans

2/11- Renewal membership fee posted
3/8- Payment
4/4- 35k Free Night Posted
So just shy of 9 weeks for the 35k to show up. Just ridiculous!

Just approved for CIP with 10K CL and called to expedite! Applied on 3/27, so it took forever to be approved. I think this is the first time the approval wasn't instant or within an hour or so. It is really hard to wait! Now, I really need to cut those CLs on all my cards.

After the Plastiq chatter, I am going to sign DH up for a business account. Planning to pay taxes and for the difference in fees of 2.5% vs 1.87%, I figure it is worth a shot for the 10K promotion.

So I spoke too soon...just got home and what was waiting for me? My new citi biz card! And as a bonus, another citi biz mailer! Although it has the same expiration date as the first mailer I got - just says "Final opportunity to earn" on it this time. I really hope that doesn't mean they won't send me any more biz mailers.
