Just booked our trip to CBR for 4/25 to 5/1. Six nights, seven day tickets for 2 adults and 3 kids (one under 3 is free!!) for $1,767.08. Unbelievable since a Disney CM quoted me $2,045.62 yesterday! My AAA TA was fantastic - I've never booked through them before, but I always will in the future! We also get a $25 Disney gift card for booking before 1/31/2007 - I think that's close to a $300 savings!!!

We still have the option to add on dining - anyone have an opinion on that???

Awesome!!

How much was it to join AAA? We always thought about looking into it.

We use dining. Have you ever? We do alot (ALOT) of character meals, so we get good use out of it. Without the plan, we would not be able to b/c they are too expensive. And you get alot of food. I am tiny, but I still like alot of food! If you are taking children, it may be a good idea to go ahead and buy their kids meal even though you have the plan. The meals are cheap, and you can then use those points for bigger meals.

We were actually already members of AAA. I think it's about $50 per year (???) and we've had it for several years - we've used them several times for car stuff, and trip tiks for car trips, but this is the first time I used them for a Disney vacation.

We did the dining plan last time we went (it was a free upgrade:) and we enjoyed it. The only problem was the kids pretty much ate chicken nuggets and french fries for a week! I think they'd actually be better off with a peanut butter sandwich or mac n cheese. My husband and I also felt we spent a lot more time eating than we normally would - with a sit down dinner every night. Don't get me wrong, we loved doing the character dinners, maybe just not every night - I'd love it if you could choose how many days you wanted to pay for - I'd like the plan for about half the vacation!!!

Make sure they give you your Diamond Parking Pass and the Discount Card that you get when you buy your tickets from them!

The TA mentioned them. We won't need the parking pass since we're flying and not renting a car, but do you know what the discount card is good for? I should have asked, but she seemed really busy....

There's a thread on one of the boards that covers what the discount card has. I'll see if I can find it and post it here.

Also, if you aren't going to use your parking pass, may I make a suggestion? You can post it on one of the boards (this one is fine or the budget board) to offer to someone else who could use it.

We're AAA members but got our tickets cheaper somewhere else, so we didn't have the pass. Someone on this board posted that they had one they were finished with, and they were kind enough to send it to me to use. We couldn't use it at MK (because it was blacked out for our dates), but we used it everywhere else and loved it!

ETA: Okay, here's the thread about the discount card (particularly post #12).

Thanks so much! I'd be happy to send the card to someone who can use it - I should get it in the mail by this Friday and once I do, I'll post it.
