I love a warm Christmas

It was so hot and humid today on Long Island we put the air conditioning on. We were cleaning and it was just too warm without it.
This is not what Christmas should feel like!

We are in Pennsylvania and it was 62 degrees today. Tonite there is a beautiful full moon (last full moon on Christmas Eve until 2034), clear skies and it's in the upper 40's. I love it.

I have a screenshot on my phone from last February when the real temperature was -26 and the "real feel temp" was -39. I'll take this any day.

Merry Christmas!

I do not love a warm Christmas. My oven will be on a good portion tomorrow and it will be pretty darn miserable. Roasting a turkey requires a temp of no greater than 50 degrees or you feel like you're roasting along with the turkey.

It's still 90 at 530pm. Christmas Day lunch was almost cancelled as we had severe fire warnings and I tend to remain on the property during severe/extreme/code red warnings as I have to organise animals. Decided to go up early and come home early - we were having cold stuff anyhow so it wasn't a bother having early lunch.

I'm planning for Christmas in the US 2016 and if I don't get snow I'll be throwing a tantrum to rival a two year old :D

I'd thought about it too!

Wear cool clothes! And flip flops if possible! I should have!

Well it's official - we broke a weather record for Christmas Eve last night here in Boston.

"Boston shattered its record high temperature when the the National Weather Service announced it recorded a balmy 66 degrees at Logan airport on December 24. The previous Christmas Eve high of 61 degrees was set in 1996."

"December 2015 is poised to become the warmest December in 62 years and this is the warmest Christmas Eve of the 21st century, according to the National Weather Service."

I knew I wasn't going crazy!

I love the warm weather, but I don't love the tornadoes in December! Our furnace was old until yesterday, so it was nice it didn't get too cold. Got a new tankless water heater last week, don't want to replace our furnace this week!

I enjoying it. Had to turn my AC on both upstairs and downstairs as I started sweating while cleaning.

Even though it feels kind of odd, I'm embracing it. We have at least 3 months of horrible, dreary cold weather facing us. It's bleak, it's boring so I'll happily take this!

I love warm weather, but Christmas Eve wasn't the same without a nice fire going. Hit 69 here yesterday(Rhode Island) and should be about the same today. Happy Christmas all!

I'm loving the warm weather. Record was set here yesterday and possibly another today.

As for a White Christmas? Bah Humbug!!

Start practicing your tantrum throwing. ;) 90%+ of the US doesn't have snow for Christmas, even in traditionally cold weather areas.

I am thrilled with our warm, not white, Christmas here in western Mass. This convinces me that I would not miss snow and cold when I get to retire and spend some of my winters away from New England. I do not need a white Christmas as I sooo hate the cold.

In theory, I don't. But then I see kids outside playing with their new toys and I change my mind. We're in Texas. When we were stationed in North Texas when the boys were little, we lived in base housing. And one of my best memories of that year was the parade of base housing kids riding on our block with their new toys! It was like 70° that Christmas.

I don't mind it. It's weird but it is what it is. I'm pretty sure I experienced my first Christmas severe thunderstorm warning 2 days ago.

Thunderstorm on Christmas Day. Lightning too. That's probably a first.

We'd probably have well over a foot of snow if the temp was cold enough. It's been raining off and on since Tuesday.
