I bought a box of Arm and Hammer powder detergent, and some how the scoop got lost. It'll be a long time before I need another box, so stocking up really doesn't make sense, just to get another scoop.

The washer is an HE whirlpool machine, and I barely used to the first line on the scoop. I've got an 1/8 cup scoop with my measuring set (I mean who uses 1/8?), but it just seems a bit short on the amount.

So how much detergent is line 1 on a measuring scoop?? And line two? There's no way I'd need to use up to line 3 amount, as it is an HE machine and I know suds are bad for it. Plus you're not supposed to use as much for those machines to begin with. Just wondering if I should stick to the 1/8 or move to a slightly larger measuring cup.

BTW, google is not my friend with this question.

I'm not sure what the box recommends but I saw something on line this past week ~ regarding Earth Day ~ that said you really only need 2 tablespoons of detergent per load to get your clothes clean. :confused3

Well I guess I'll keep using the scoop then. It's going to take forever to get through this box as I only do about 4 loads of laundry every week or two.
