My throat was feeling a little irritated the other day and then yesterday I woke up with my voice sounding a little deeper. It was my sister's birthday party yesterday and I talked WAY too much (what's new, ahaha) It slowly started getting deeper and deeper and now this morning I woke up and it is all gone! I can't even talk in a quiet voice. Is there anything I can do that would help it?

sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I can definitely relate right now.

I don't have any solid advice other than to not talk too much, take cough drops, perhaps tea with honey?

I can bump this thread for you.

Same thing has happened to me twice. Don't talk at all - even whispering will strain your throat. Use throat lozenges to keep your throat moist. All you can do is wait it out.

It's frustrating, isn't it? I'm really not a big talker but I couldn't believe how much I missed my voice. Couldn't even answer the phone. Good luck - hope it heals soon.

Thanks guys, it's so true. You don't realize how much you use your voice until you can't use it at all! It's getting a little better, this morning I couldn't say a single thing.

Well, since ya can't talk, suppose you will just have to spend more time TYPING on the DIS! :teeth:
