Yep, I'll have to order a few more. I was really bummed, because I kept hoping I'd run into some DISer. But, then again, I didn't see anyone else with a DIS button, shirt or a green ribbon. Saw lots of people wearing lime green shirts and I would look them up and down for some other sign of being a DISer, but no luck. And I forgot to pack my DIS T-shirt, but I might not have worn it anyway since I was only wearing sleeveless shirts in the 95 degree heat.
I like the idea of putting it on the backpack strap, but I've found that my hip pack works better for us than the backpack - I like being hands-free and you can take it on every ride. We don't really need more than I can fit in there - our sunglasses, my wallet, my cell phone and our tickets. My hubby has big pockets for water bottles. I suppose I could use a backpack for snacks, but we'd much rather buy ice cream at the park! And for cooler seasons, we just tie our sweatshirts and jackets around our waists if needed.
Just what you guys needed - a detailed report of what and how we carry things around the park. But, heck, maybe I'm giving someone else a tip...
