Hi,
A Curves gym opened up here last month and I have been
going everyday. Today was Measurement day for me and I
lost inches but to my surprise I lost 17 pounds!! I have
been watching my weight but have not been on any special
diet plan. I'm only five pounds from my target weight!
I wanted to loose some weight for my son's wedding on
April 3 so now I must try on my dress to see if it needs
an adjustment! I am sold on Curves!

Congratulations on that wonderful report. Keep up the great work and you'll be where you want to be in no time.

WOW!!! that is great! Keep up the great work. :Pinkbounc

I've heard about this Curves but don't know anything about it. Tell me more.

I've just signed up with Curves and I'm going to my first workout today! Wow, 17 lbs; that really inspires me!

Can you lose weight if you only go 3 times a week? I'm going to try to go more but I'm realistic enough to know that sometimes 3 times a week will be a struggle.

Lewski,

Lynda,

You can loose inches by going 3x a week and you might loose weight too. I watched my diet and had cut out sweets and I watched my intake of pasta so this is probably why I lost so much weight. My dr said whoa girl, your loosing too much too fast so take it easy.

Congratulations!! You must have felt great when they gave you that report!! Way to go!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

EXCELLENT!!! Way to go. You'll be sporting that "goal" clipart before you know it :)

Thanks for the info, LUVDSNY04! I went for my first workout at Curves on Friday night and loved it. The only issue I had was that one of the machines made my knee ache. Am I okay to skip this machine and just do the rest of the circuit? Of course, I will respect my fellow exercisers and not jump the line or cause any delays.

Lynda,
Maybe you should ask a trainer at Curves about the knee ache. The trainer probably can offer some advice so those knees won't ache. I hear this from people when they first start out though. Good Luck!:)

Thanks LUVDSNY04 for the advice! I'll check with the trainer and see what she has to say. I went for my first workout last Friday and have been 3 times since and really enjoyed it. I'm finding my knees ache a little less but I'm really careful and slow on the one machine that I found to be kind of hard on my knee.

Thanks for your encouragement! You're my inspiration! I have to lose about 13 pounds and I know it doesn't sound like much but it's amazing how hard it is to lose any weight when you're 46 like I am!

Thanks again!
