I Loaded Tax Cut Today...

...and it really looks a LOT like Turbo Tax. I think that I will be just as happy with this program as I always was with Turbo Tax.
I decided not to use Turbo Tax based upon Alex's warning about the c-dilla program that was loaded with it.

Anyone else decide to use Tax Cut instead of TT?

I'm still waiting for my and DH's w-2's and some other things. Not sure why they're so late this year?

Beth, did you download it, from the internet? If so, what's the site?

I use Taxcut. It is less expensive than TurboTax and after what I read recently I would rather cut off an arm than load their software.

No Bet, I did not download it. I bought the CD. But I am sure that you could find a download sight by searching Google.

We have not received DHs W-2s either. I was just thinking about that. Both girls got their W-2s and we have gotten our mortgage and other info. But we are still waiting on DH's W-2.
I would like to get started so that I can get started on this year's FAFSA.

Ripleysmom - not only is Tax Cut less expensive, but with mail-in rebates, etc, I will be getting it, MS Money, a clip art and will preparation program, and a check printing program just for the cost of the tax and postage.

I made the switch to TaxCut. I loaded it last night and filled in all of the necessary information. I'm just waiting on my mortgage statements to arrive. It has been a very user friendly program. I find it very similar to Turbo-Tax. Since they had a hyper-link, it was easy to dowload the updates from their website.
