Forgot to mention for those who need to know that they checked both my ENT cards for our rooms upon check-in.
Now on to day 2. Our game plan was to do 2 marathon days and cover only our favorites. We were going to hit MGM and MK on this day and tomorrow AK and Epcot. After that our days would be filled with FOTL with our 5 days at US and ISL. So we got up early, showered, and covered ourselves in sunscreen. Our backpack had our ponchos, waterspray fan bottle (my personal survivor weapon for brutally hot and humid days), and gum. Disney doesn't "do gum". We arrived in the lounge for breakfast and I was delighted to see a beautiful display. There were fruit bowls of honeydew, cantelope, strawberries, blueberries, and my addiction raspberries. There was a wide assortment of cereals as well as fresh yogurt and granola. Now onto the really good stuff-chocolate croissants, plain croissants, assorted mini danish, and bagels. Tall glass pitchers with fresh juice were over by the coffee and tea table. We ate everything in sight and took water for the road. I also left everyday with an iced coffee. We parked at MGM and headed for Tower of Terror- not a long wait and went on twice. I have only been on this once before because it scared the living daylights out of me, but my daughter and I are tired of being called chicken by my son. I must say I really enjoyed it and now it is my favorite ride-sicko that I am. Next we went to Rock and Roller Coaster. It wasn't too bad either. I think getting to the parks at their opening is so important. My husband doesn't much care for this but we dragged him on anyway. We pulled the "oh come on its a family vacation". The sucker fell for my daughter batting her eyes everytime. Then we rode the Great Movie Ride- he needed a rest after the last one. My son loves Who Wants to be a Millionaire so that was our next stop. We were so excited because thye gave us the really cool seats on the floor. We played well. I made the board once. My son was slightly disappointed because he didn't make the hot seat. He has been in it a few times in the past and has some pins and a hat. Oh well, time for food. We ate a quick bite and headed for MK. It was so hot I thought we would die but we must continue with our goal. We had to make use of the fastpass system here or else it would have been awful. So we did Space Mt. It is such a great ride. Then we did Splash Mt. My daughter conquered her fears and loved this too! Then we did Thunder Mt, Haunted Mansion(a big line) and Buzz Lightyear. Our last ride was the Tomorrow Land Transit Authority. We still like this one. I know we skipped a lot but understand we have been at Disney every year and didn't want to overdue it. Yet, there is something so magical when you enter these parks and hotels that I can't explain. For as much as we loved PBH we plan on doing both next year. We will try to save a lot of money this winter and hotel hop at Disney for the first time and then stay a few days onsite at Universal just for the front of the line. I will need help for rates and advice. We are thinking of GF, AKL, and Pop. Tell me all ya' got!
We left and returned to Nascar where we had a nice meal. That night we ppv a new Sandra Bullock movie in the room, enjoyed the offerings at the hotel, and fell into a lovely bed in a very quiet hotel. Tomorrow we will go to AK and Epcot. I hope you can come.
