I'm glad we decided to try out KBF. They had a lot of fun rides. Sidewinder even shoots a video of you're whole ride. The thing I liked the most was that the park was totally empty. It was like having the park rented out for a private party. I never saw a ride go up completely full. The food was good, and the souveniers were about half the price of what Disney would charge. O.K. the shows were a little hokey, but they have pie! :thumbsup2

well, they close insanely early though... at like 6PM...

Sat is a lot busier...

It was kind of nice to go back to the hotel early on one day though. You just have to know that's what you're paying for.

Thanks for the review of Knott's. We're going there on a Tuesday in November and am hoping for a "private party" feel myself. :)

I don't mind them closing at 6 because we purchased tickets for the Medievil Dinner Show that night. It starts at 7 and is right down the street, so this works out pretty good for us.

I just hope they have the Log ride running by then. I love that thing!

I've never heard of Knott's Merry Farm - sounds cute!

I also really like this park, though I went on a roller coaster recently and it gave me a pounding headache for the rest of the day. I wonder if I got too old for the really good/scary coasters. :scared:

The huge wooden coaster is by far my favorite there. I sat in the front car and had tears streaming down my face from all the wind blowing on me, as well as laughing so much because I was enjoying myself. :goodvibes

Halloween is also really cool, though only for those who don't mind getting scared.

Just don't go to Knott's in December. The 3 weekends before Christmas have been Toys for Tots weekends when you get in free if you bring a toy valued at $10 or more. It's usually insanely busy then. Just on Saturday and Sunday, however.

It's a blast! My family has gone two different Christmas eves due to NO crowds! Granted the park does close at like 5 or something, but we were able to do so much stuff in that period of time. The log ride is decked out for the holidays as "Elf Mountain" kinda like HMH and IASWH at DL. Ghost Town is fully decorated with holiday lights and wreaths. There's a Christmas Snoopy ice show. We love it. We are hoping to go again this year for Christmas Eve! :santa:

whoever is going in november, sometime in november knotts celebrates the military and that is the ONLY time we go, cuz it is dirt cheap, but it is over a few week period in november, so it won't be such a ghost town during that period. . . cuz we all wait for this time to go. . . look in their special events for the dates. . .

1st positive thread i've seen here for Knotts, most complain it's gone downhill since CedarFair took over:confused3 ; may now try it for a day:thumbsup2

we luv their Cedar Point & were thinking of buying the max pass next year to allow us to visit.

I think the main complaint is that Knott's is looking more like Magic Mountain than Knott's since CedarFair took over. It used to be a really nice "Theme" park, but has become more of a "Thrill" park.

Just to let you know, the entire company (Cedar Fair) will not be offereing Maxx passes next year. We bought one this year and loved it! Next year you will need to purchase a Platnum Pass (a constant $140 at all parks, which is slightly more than this year's Maxx) which allows you admission to all CF parks along with free parking there.
