I like exterior hallways, anyone else?

Hmmm......Am I seeing double or did Cool-Beans and bavaria say the exact same thing???? I guess great minds really do think alike. ;)

It's a conspiracy!:rotfl:

but I feel safer with an exterior exit

Me too! I hate the thought of being stuck in a big hotel and the stampede of people it would take to get out of it. I am guessing though some might argue in a hurricane a large hotel has its advantages, so I guess I will just not travel during hurricane season.

Nope. I like pulling right up and walking under a covered walkway to get to the door. I don't like having to walk through the heat or run through the rain. I don't like not having the restaurant and gift shop and stuff all under the same roof.

And I just hate that if I want a window open to see out that it means people can see in. And sometimes it is hard to be sure the window is covered, so I change behind the curtain anyway.

Stop messing with my poor old head you guys!!
I actually prefer the exterior walkways. I just tend to feel safer. I know...that doesn't sound logical does it? I figure that if someone is following me, there will be others around to help if I'm at a value or moderate. But, if walking down one of those hallways in the deluxes, well, you just feel so alone if you're solo. As my 14 y/o dd would put it..'it just skeeves me out'.
However, I do own at BWV and stay there alone...but those long hallways do get spooky.

I prefer the exterior hallways as well. In fact, I much prefer the room configuation of the Values and Mods as opposed to the Deluxes. I like having the bathroom at the far end of the room.

December will be our 1st Deluxe stay. Just hoping for a good view on the balcony.

We didn't really have a preference until we experienced hurricane Wilma at OKW. There was no problem as far as safety issues (Disney does hurricanes very well, probably better than most). The only negative we found re: exterior vs. interior is that if you're there in really bad weather, you're a prisoner in your room until it's over, whereas in a hotel-like structure, you can go down to the lobby, maybe go into a shop or a restaurant, and pass the time among other "survivors". :thumbsup2
Other than hurricane season or really cold weather (rare for FL, I know), both types of resorts are fine with us. :goodvibes

I'm sorry. I was in bavaria's head again.

Or bavaria was in my head and waited for me to say it first. :confused3

I like Interior like AKL and WL, these are 2 great hotels.:thumbsup2 Less noise.;)

I like exterior for the resort feel. It feels more like my own little space than a "room".

When it's very hot and humid outside, I much prefer indoor hallways!

Exactly! During the hot, humid weather, I prefer the resorts that are all in one, like WL, Y/BC, CR. I don't want to have to walk from one building to another in the heat and rain (and possible hurricane) just to get something to eat.

On the other hand, during the winter and early spring, I don't mind the outdoors, so the values, mods and separate building deluxes are more appealing.

I also prefer exterior hallways. Thats why I prefer SSR over BWV. Maybe because my one bedroom at BWV was at the end of a 2 mile hallway. But I mostly just like to open my door and breathe in WDW not a hallway.

Exterior like SSR. Deluxe, with my own balcony, but I could still park near my car, etc. Boardwalk also has horribly long hallways, very far from the lobby.

I like exterior hallways as well. I like walking out my door and being outside, seeing the beautiful grounds. I like just walking up one or two flights (or none at all) to get to my room.

Me too! One of my favorite memories of our first trip, back in 1995, was stepping outside our room at the All-Star Sports and seeing the tiny lizards on the sidewalk, and all the birds.
