I'm almost there. 10 days to go!!!!! :thumbsup2 Now I'm just worried about a few things....
1) I always get nervous with the traveling part. We drive, but our car has broken down 4 times this year. :sad2: We already put so much money into it and I'm worried about it breaking down on the way there. We only live about 2 1/2 hours away from WDW, but thats far enough for a problem. We already spent so much money on the trip, we can't afford to rent a car.

2) I'm worried about one of us getting sick while at WDW. I almost always get sick when I travel. The last time I was in Orlando for 4 days, I got a high fever and sore throat and missed a wedding. ( I had to stay in our hotel alone) I also have a DD3 who gets sick when traveling too, but she usually gets sick on the way back, or the day before we go back. Our schedule is packed. (We'll be at WDW for 8 nights, 9 days and this is our first trip) :cool1: Any suggetions on how to stay healthy? Also, I've heard about this ariborne stuff. What is it? Does it make you drowsy? Can young children take it? :confused3

Sounds like we'll be there at the same time! It's getting sooo close!

Like you, I'm a bit worried about getting sick. We're flying in, so I worry about coming into contact with viruses and germs at the airport and on the airplane, in addition to at the parks.

I looked into Airborne. I could find no scientific evidence that it works, but several people I know swear by it. I decided not to use it, so I didn't check with my doctor about how safe it is.

DW and I try to keep our diet rich in nutrients, and when that fails to protect us, we've had decent success with the various zinc lozenges. Dunno if that's the placebo effect or not, but it's seemed to work for us in the past, banishing colds in a few days instead of a week or more - but only if we catch it as soon as the symptoms start showing.

Other than that, we'll be obsessively washing our hands and avoiding touching our faces the whole time we're there, hoping to avoid missing out on any part of this very expensive (for us) vacation!

Best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful, trouble-free vacation!

I'll send exta pixie dust :wizard: for you and your family to have a wonderful and safe trip with no car problems or sickness. Have a wonderful time!!!

I always worry about someone getting sick before or while we are there. Two of my kids are recovering now from sore throat/fever/throwing up and I am praying that no one else gets it. We leave in 19 days. Last year the day after we got back we had DS in the doctors office and he brought home strep throat. Luckily it didnt start until we got home. Here's some pixie dust :wizard: that your car will make it to Disney and that you will all remain healthy. We are taking our vitamins starting today. Im not real good about making the kids or DH and I take them. I will set them on the counter and hopefully that will help.
