I apologize as I know I saw a thread about this recently, but I can't find it now and it didn't apply to me at the time! We are staying in the Fort Wilderness Cabins. We will be arriving on the 23rd of February and checking out the 3rd of March. We have the free dining pin with this reservation. We are a family of 5 and my mom has just decided she will be joining us partway through our vacation on the 26th. How will this work - can we add her for the whole trip so she can get free dining too? or can we add her when she gets there and still get her free dining? The cost of the park tickets is no big deal - we will pay for the 7 day ticket even though she will only use 5. I would just really like her to get the dining too...... Thanks!!!!!

The best way to do it would be to add her for the whole trip and ALL of you get 5-day tickets. Once you've used your tickets, just upgrade the ones you need to the 7-days you want. That way she gets free dining (and you can also use the meals she doesn't or all of you go to a signature), and you don't pay for two-days worth of tickets she won't use.

Thanks for the reply - I wasn't sure if with the new magic bands if she would need to be present at check in or anything to activate hers or if they would have a problem with her not being for some of the days of the free dining.....

To get FD for your mother you will need to add her to your reservation no later than 3 days before your arrival date. Since you are within 45 days of arrival the full amount will be due immediately. Also, there is usually a $15 paperwork fee that is charged for changes made within 2 weeks of arrival.
