it seems its the only choice for us with a family of 5, in fact it works out cheaper than the family suite at all stars, i have worked it out for room only £1, 133 for a river view room, in june this year, we are looking to go june 07, but they don't go that far, so for an estimate looked at june this year, anyone stayed there?? what is the difference between a standard room which costs £3, 133 (i know i checked 5 times) and the river view room at the price above, i am thinking of booking the hotel seperate, tickets seperate, and then flights, but will look into the whole package as well, any great tips on this hotel, good and bad will be welcome.
jane.

hi.. Have you looked at Virgin holidays site.. the prices go up to cotober 07 for PO. I did book PO for us and it looks lovely however we are unable to go now as I got a bit carried away with our California holiday.

Also you will get loads more replys on the other broard. sorry but I don't understand why you keep posting here about wdw.I hope you don't think I am being rude its just the people on the wdw broad seem to know almost everything there is to know about wdw and someone who is able to help with your questions may not see your post over here..

i have posted on the wdw but only got a few replys, i know i am impatient, and i posted a few times about other things and got no replys, so hoping someone here can help me out.

Jane, however much we would like to help you out on here there will be a much greater chance of someone on either the UK Trip Planning Forum or the Disney Resorts forum being able to answer you.

Why don't you post a new thread up on both these forums? Sometimes it's better to post a new thread rather than adding on to an existing one. Also remember a lot of people may be away from the boards seeing as it's the Easter holidays. :goodvibes

If one of you DLP mods could move this across to UK Trip Planning I am sure you will get some replies Jane :)

You do have a much better chance of reaching the right audience over there to be honest. I don;t remember seeing a thread from you about Port Orleans and you got quite a few responses to your thread about Fort Wilderness - was that what gave you the idea for Port Orleans?

Jane sorry can't help you but I'm sure the UK board is the best place to put the question.
As Elaine says the boards are quiet just now, probably because of easter.
Evenings tend to be the busiest time unless you go on to the American boards :)

Jane,

Saw your post was confused but I'l reply since I have an opinion. I haven't stayed at port orleans but two other moderate resorts and they are supposed to be all very similar. Port orleans gets excellent reviews, and there are web site that give you candid pictures and candid reviews. If its a choice between this and an all stars I think this is the much better choice as the moderates are noticably better. hope this helps.

I've stayed at PO and it's lovely. This was before FQ and PO were joined so then it was quite small, It has a great atmosphere and is very well maintained. I wouldn't spend the extra on the view, as that is all that you pay for and quite honestly I don't think there are that many bad views at PO as there is so much landscaping. You are not in the room much and if you're at the resort you'll probably be at the pool.

The rooms aren't huge, but then that's the case with all the moderates.

I'd look at a room/ticket combo via Disney, they do pretty good deals.

So sorry-haven't checked the boards in a few days. We really liked the PO-8yo DGS said "its the best one we've ever stayed at". Request a corner room. You get 2 windows and it makes the room seem bigger. The moderates now come-complimentary-with the small fridge. Great pool area, can catch the boat to Disney Downtown, water activities, food and sit down restaurant. We were there in March. Just a quick snippet. Grannywishes
