I have two questions/ problems
Can anyone do Thomas the Train designs for a 2 year old boy's birthday party invitation?

Is there a way I can copy such designs onto my computer so that I can fill in the appropiate information? I am NOT coimputer savvy so it would have to be super simple for me to get it.

My grandson turns 2 in March and DH and I are having a Thomas the Train Birthday Party for him. He loves, loves, loves Thomas!!!!

I have tried to do some designs myself but I am not smart when it comes to computers. I have seen the Disney designs here on the boards and they are are all so amazing. I thought maybe with all the creative people here I still have hope of making something really special for my DGS big day. I was thinking of candy wrappers and small notebook pad coverstoo if these are also possible. My grandson can not be the only Thomas fan out there so perhasp my request will also benefit others as well.

Here are am examples of the wording I was thinking of which I hope will help out anyone who would like to take on the challenge. Feel free to create your own. I really need your help. Thank you!

I cna make changes and customizations for you but just wanted to share with you what I have already created. Let me know if you'd like any of these personalized, which text version do you like best, etc... Also you can either pm or email me (amy@amymickey.com) with any personal information you do not want posted here. Email would be a better option (since my photobucket is not private). After I send you the design, you simply save it to your computer and then print as you wish.

Is this example the only design you have created or do you have others?
Can you change the three trains at the bottom to just one of Thomas to match the candy wrapper?
We will be giving out regular size Hershey bars. Will your wrapper fit those?

Also on the large designs with the cloud texts can you put the name Riley on both. I really like both designs and can think of a multitude of ways I can use them at the party and for DGS.

As well as the name design of Danny. Can you make this one Riley as well.

Here is the new invite - I already resized it to 5 x 7. If you want it customized, let me know. I will fix the typo when I do the necessary changes. (OOPS!)

For the candy wrappers - I only do the one size. I have had others tell me that you can easily resize it for the smaller bars but I am unsure on the dimensions.

As far as the font, I always try to find a font that closely resembles the character font. The font that I used looked the closest to the font they use for Thomas the Tank's logo. All of the letters are capital looking - the lowercase still look like capitals but are smaller, notice in the second design of this post. The font size I use for the invite is 18. If you would like me to use a different font or font size for the invite, those are both an easy fix, let me know.

Thanks for the re-designs. I need one more of the Day Out with Thomas design to read: RILEY'S ROOM . My daughter liked the design so much she would like to incorporate it into her son's new room he is getting (his big boy room). She also said to say much thanks for everything you are doing for us. I second that!

No changes to the invitation design itself. DD and I like the one with the single Thomas at the bottom encircled as in the candy wrapper and the example you did for me already.

Now for the invitation: I will go line by line and let you know what I would like to change if possible. )stated underneath each. I will give you an full example at the end as well. This may give you a sense of what I am looking for. You can then see what you can do.

Here are two variations - one with the original text (with the lowercase letters just being smaller) and another with a different font where you wanted the lowercase.

When I first started out designing, I wanted to be sure I could do it BEFORE I invested in the software (which can be pretty expensive). I got a 30 day free trial to Photo Impact (Ulead) and then when that expired I got a 30 day free trial to Photoshop Elements (Adobe). This way I could devote enough time to really learn each brand and see which one I liked better. They both had a little different advantages but I enventually chose Elements to use in my designing. The graphics come mostly from doing searches online. I will often take more time searching for the 'right' graphics than most but I always have an idea of what I want and do not stop looking until I have found the largest/clearest/best graphic. I hope this helps answer your question. If not, don't hesitate to ask more questions.
