Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party - reading all the posts about people making costumes for this event makes me want to book my next trip over halloween!

I've never been to one but I'm sure other people can fill you in.

RJ

ps Welcome to the Dis :0)

This party runs for Halloween in October (maybe the last week of Sept. too). It is in the evening a few times a week at Magic Kingdom. The party is from 7:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. People attending the party have the option to dress up in costumes or not. Almost every child there is in a costume and many adults are in costume. The characters are throughout the park and are in costumes as well. There is trick or treating for all that attend, and special Halloween activities are happening throughout the park. There is a special parade which features the Headless Horseman at the beginning, and is based on Disney's Villians. The entire park is decorated for Halloween. This you will not see during the day, only at the party.

This party is not included on any of the park tickets. It is something that you pay extra for. For the 4 of us it was $142. Included in this price each person attending receives a picture of everyone in your party. There is a limited number of tickets sold for each of these parties so rides are very little wait time and a lot of times are walk on.

It's a great time, if you've never been, you should give it a try.

thanks for the info. next year we will have to book for halloween. that sounds like a lot of fun.

Several times during the year they have opps for you to pay extra & stay at the park late for select rides & special shows, etc. I have always found it well worth the money. At Christmas they have Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or whatever it's called. My mother, who was in her late 50s at the time we went, got a HUGE charge out of the complimentary hot cocoa & sugar cookies. lol - the things that amuse us, huh? In any case, you can ride some of the most popular rides again & again & shop without being too badly jostled & see special shows -- as I said, well worth the money to us.

And the only stupid question is the one not asked!!

And where are these complimentary hot cocoa and sugar cookies found ??

This was several years ago, so they may not do it anymore, but they had stations around the park. I remember one was at Pecos Bill. The restauarant wasn't open for business, but you could go in & get this sweet snack. I guess there is some potential for abuse, but I didn't notice anyone making a pig of himself, so it was just a nice little treat, like the goody bags at the Halloween event.
