I will be on weight watchers cause i kinda fell off the wagon and am just watching what i ate till school got out casue it was hard cause i never knew what was for lunch day to day. andyways like i said i want to lose weight and i wil be on ww and will walk a 1/2 mile to a mile about 7days a week because i have to exercise because of the meds i am on. and i will throw a couple days of yoga in there. so ww yoga and walking. does any one know an estimate weight lose i should have or how much i should lose in about 43 days till disney? Thanks in advance. and if you could help.

Obviously it has a lot to do with your current weight, how strictly you stick to your plan, etc. But setting mini-goals is a terrific way to keep yourself motivated, and to be able to celebrate your successes along the way.

Let's see - 6 weeks. At the beginning of my weight loss plan, I was losing two pounds a week. Now it's more like 1/2 pound per week, with a (very) occasional whoosh. So anywhere from 3 to 12 pounds would be reasonable for me.

Just remember, if you set a really ambitious goal, you are still a winner even if it takes you 8 weeks instead of 6 weeks to get there!

Good luck and have fun!!

to total guestimate here is difficult w/out particulars - but I would say if you adhere strictly to your plan, exercise everyday and drink plenty of water in 61/2 weeks I think about 8-10lbs average.

but this is purely a guess.

If I just measured my progress by the scale, I would have quit trying a long time ago. My scale just doesn't cooperate week to week. My best measurement is how I feel when I'm excercising - how much I have to push myself before getting my breathing and heart rates up and how my "skinny" jeans are fitting.

I think your plan sounds great. You've obviously put a great deal of effort in determining what you need to do drop a few pounds in those 43 days before your vacation. Now, put together a chart that you can check off for each of the things you need to do daily: stay on plan for your meals, exercise - walking and yoga, taking your meds and vitamins. Measure your progress by how many checks you earn each week. Plan a non-food reward for each week you stay with your program.

By the time you leave for vacation, you will probably be down several pounds and your clothes will be fitting better, but mostly you will feel physically better and emotionally better because you fulfilled your commitment to yourself.

Enjoy planning for your vacation - I sure wish I was planning a disney vacation too!

I agree with what everyone else here has said. I also think you wanted to 'hear' some more numbers, am I right? ;) IF that's the case......I lost 20 lbs in my 1st 6 weeks (religiously) on WW, I also had a LOT to lose. HOWEVER, in the past 15 weeks, I've lost 24.5 lbs, so you can see how it tapers off, and lessens after the initial 'whoosh'. ;) I would say your exercise plan seems fine, maybe a bit too much tho (7 days a week), but if your Dr. recommended it, I'm sure it's fine. Exercise & water have been very helpful to me, I believe. Best Wishes!!! Keep us updated, please.

KimRaye I have to do some sort of exercise everyday with the meds I am on that was one strong thing the dr said and a couple other things. he said eat 5 peanuts walnuts or almonds 5 mins before every meal, snack. it is suppose to cut down on craving for food and that. then he said in order to lose weight that i have to exercise everyday and the med will hhelp if only you exercise.

Thanks every one for the feed back.
