I told my DH the exact same thing. I wouldn't mind spending a day alone at all! I could paint my toenails, something I have been trying to do for over a month now, and I would love to read a book. So, what does my wonderful DH decide instead? He decided to invite his mother over for a BBQ!!

So sorry, Meg. I hope you had fun anyway. I haven't finished reading this thread, but had to respond because my DH finally took DD to Sunday School with him, and I got about 2 hours to take a shower, read the Sunday paper, and paint my nails!
He was going to take her to church, too, then I was going to meet them and the rest of the family for lunch at a Japanese steakhouse. But DD wasn't wanting to sit through church and so they came home about half an hour before I would have had to leave and we all went together to lunch.

But the two hours were great!
