I Know this has been asked - but can you help me out?

I know this question has been asked again and again. I tried a search and didn't find the answer....so can someone help me out. We are booked room only Feb 9-12 at Poly after a 4 day Wonder cruise (yeehaa!). I know we will be stuffed from the cruise - but I just decided to look into the MYW w/ dining. (I can still get it until 12/18). It is DH, me, DS5 and DD3 also my Mom. Right now we have ressies at CG for me and DH, Ohana's dinner for everyone, and Park Faire for breakfast. We would use the plan for the CG for DH and I. I know there have been posts about using credits and paying for kids OOP. Can we do that? It seems to me that the plan would well worth it if we could do that - and may even be if we don't. Any thoughts??

Just be prepared with your flame suit because this is a controversial question. Many people feel it is abuse of the system to pay for kids OOP and use the kid's credits for adult's meal.

With that being said, I did exactly that for our trip back in August with no problems. From what I understand, Disney still pools the credits into one grouping with no designated kid's or adult's credits so it is still possible.

Also, from what I have read here, some Disney restaurants are forcing each diner to use a credit so you can't save the kid's credits. It seems hit or miss though with each restaurant and each server for that matter.

While I personally am not planning on paying OOP for the kid's meals for our upcoming April trip, I am planning on trying to share meals with my oldest DS. I found it to be just way too much food for one sitting so I thought sharing would be the way to go for us.
