We booked our trip to DW today for Christmas and I just can't seem to get excited about posting in the Florida section. So I'm posting here. We've never been to DW before... and I know it's a crazy time to go, but will end up having 9nts there, so it should be ok.

Staying at... Animal Kingdom Lodge -- savannah view! SO excited, tickled PINK really! And here I thought we wouldn't be taking another Disney vacation for three years.... just can't stay away, I guess.

That said, I guess for relevant DW information, I'm gonna have to suck it up and post elsewhere.... aren't I???

Wow...9 nights in a Savannah view room at AKL...I am jealous, I admit it We visited the resort for an afternoon while waiting for our Boma dinner ressies. Very nice and I got a close up pic of a giraffe! I am sure you will have a wonderful time, congrats on your trip

It was great we loved POR but I stilll love DL more! You will have a great time at AKL! Since you are going at a busy time I highly recommend TGM (tour guide mike). We found TGM was great money spent as it maximized our trip! We literally walked on the rides. Make sure you have all your Adr's! Have a wonderful trip!

I agree about the Tourguide Mike thing. He has a money back guarantee so you cannot lose really. His website is sometimes cumbersome but I like it for the "least crowded park per day" charts. Also, if you are regular to these boards, you are probably familar with Hydroguy. And he likes TGM too! Can't think of a better recommendation than that. I also agree, make your ADR's that is a busy time and its nice to have that all settled, esp. if you have your heart set on any particular restaurant.

I hear you on having a hard time getting used to another board here on the dis. You get to feel a bit like family with all the posters and its hard to go "to the other side" so to speak. But they'll become family too, there are tons of nice people over there and it gets a ton of traffic so threads get much longer and pushed back quicker than they do over here.

Have fun with your planning, you'll see me over there too, I have a WDW and DL trip planned so I bounce back and forth.

My family went for the 1st time to WDW last April. I don't know alot about it, but I can help if you have questions....
I am over here on the DL side because we are taking our 1st trip there in December also. (just like you)
So, if you want to trade tips, let me know.... again, I'm not really knowledgable on WDW, but I can offer you my opinion on things that I do know. Also, in turn, if you have any "valuable" info to share, I would be greatful!
