We just returned from AKL, and as usual we rented a full crib and double stroller from A Baby's Best Friend (www.abbf.com), and this time a small refrigerator that they are offering now.

I just wanted to let everyone know I saved $30.00 for the week and could not be happier. The fridge was in an unmarked box, attached to a small, wheeled luggage carrier, and wrapped in plastic. Very non-descript, though I don't think the CM's would have cared anyway. The fridge was excellent, as well as usual the crib and dbl stroller.

I've got a toddler crib reserved for our March vaca. Heard geat things about abbf from many threads here. Glad there is a service like this availavle as the toddler crib will make my life ALOT easier. I'm glad to hear of good experiences w/ abbf.

We too just got back and rented an exersaucer, bouncer seat and bed rail from ABBF. They were there waiting for us upon our arrival and VERY clean!! We were very happy with their service and will use them again on our next trip, as well as refer any others heading down to them! Have fun!

FYI....I think you can get bedrails for no charge at most of the hotels....might want to check on that before renting them.

Yes ... check first, but unfortunately ours didn't provide them at Orange Lake. For the $15.00 for the week it was worth it. We just pushed a bed against the wall for our almost 3 yr old and put the rail on the other. It was one of those nice sturdy wooden ones. As much as hotels may provide some things, like cribs, I believe that abbf has a higher quality. I've heard some pretty scary things about hotel cribs, even from really good chains. Most now use pack and plays because of this (although the one we had must have been something they can buy for hotels, because I wasn't over impressed ... we had the same one at the Marriott hotel at the airport in T.O.). Orange Lake provided a proper sheet to fit the pack and play, but the Marriott in TO just folded up a regular flat sheet which is dangerous if your child moves around as there is a risk of strangulation. Because of this, I packed my own ahead of time. ABBF will provide sheets to fit whatever you are renting from them. Next time we go we will rent a toddler bed as our youngest will be 20 mos.
