I called Dining at 180 days out and made two reservations that I knew I wanted.

OHana for 2 people- my best friend and I.
Le Cellier for 3 people- my best friend, brother, and I.
My brother is incredibly excited to be joining us for that meal.

I called Dining late last week to go over the other various reservations I've made to fill in our free dining gaps.

Turns out that rep switched the ressies.
She made Ohana for 3
Le Cellier for 2.. and Le Cellier can't be changed. I've called everyday since I found the error and am so frustrated.

I realize it was an innocent mistake but still! Do I just uninvite my brother?
I don't know what to do.

You might call and speak with a supervisor and see if you can get some resolution regarding the situation.

Show up at LeCellier with all 3 of you and don't worry about it. That is what you would have done if you didn't happen to call back. You will be fine.

since you have the ADR, i'd skip dining and contact the restaurant manager directly and ask.

normally i'd say show up with 3 anyway, but the problem with le cellier is it's so busy all the time, it could be a substantial wait sometimes even for the right number. and going from 2 to 3 means going from a 2 topper to a 4.

Yeah.. I explained my situation to the rep I talked to after the one who alerted me to the mistake. She said there is no way they will seat three of us, as we are at a 2 person table.

I think it might be okay in the end based on the fact that my best friend hates beef. If they can give us one of those tables that have one chair on one side and are a bench on the other, the two of us can sit at the bench and she'd be content to sit there while we ate most likely.
I know she won't want a steak..
can you see I'm desperately trying to find ways in my mind to stop freaking out? :rotfl:

I had a similar problem last year, the CM put LTT on the night before we were to attend MNSSHP. I tried to change this, to no avail. Two days before we were to go to MNSSHP we stopped in to buy the mugs as souvenirs. I explained what happened to the CM at the desk. She spoke with the GM and they put us on a wait list. Turns out that it was not a big deal, there must have been a lot of no shows because the place wasn't very full. My advice is to do the same thing we did, try to put ourselves on a waitlist. If not possible, maybe your friend would want to eat elsewhere, since it sounds like the only meal you'll have with your brother.

Yep! That is part of what is so upsetting. When he moved to Orlando in April I missed him like crazy!

Then I was like-- hey I'm going to Disney in September! And he LOVES Le Cellier so I *thought* I made that ressie and it just is greatly upsetting that we might not get to hang out and share the meal like we've been thinking.

Maybe I can convince his roommate in Orlando to take my friend to dinner.. :rotfl:

Go into Le Cellier with your brother. Have your friend walk by the table a few minutes after you are seated. Make a HUGE deal about seeing her...you haven't seen each other in 20 years and oh my goodness is there ANYWAY she could squeeze in...she is on a solo trip and just snuck into Le Cellier to use the restroom...if you can muster up a few tears over seeing her even...you could play on the heart strings of the waiters and surely get an extra seat!!

May 2007 we had ressies for 2, me and my best friend, then her sister joined us, we went to Le Cellier and explained the situation, they gave us a table for 4, worked out no problem. You may have to wait, but I dont think its that big of a deal.

Good luck

This is the second thread in as many days I have seen where Disney Dining has screwed up with party numbers. I say this: make a back up reservation someplace else in Epcot, under a different name and phone number for a later time than the Le Cellier one. Then still show up at the Le Cellier one and see if they can work you in. Something similar happened to me a couple of years ago, I asked for a printout of my ADR's and noticed a couple were for six not seven. I just showed up and played dumb and got seated fine both times. I think the cm's at the resaturants are used to moronic errors courtesy of the folks at Disney Dining.

And for the record, I would NEVER suggest a double book in any other situation. But they screwed up and since they now cancel ADR's of the double booked variety you can't double book so easily (which is good). But in this instance, I think its important you eat someplace with your friend and brother. I personally, based on my own experience think they will get you in. But this way you have someplace else to dine if they won't. And if they say no, ask for the restaurant manager, don't just take the word of the cm hostess. And don't act like you knew this had occurred anyway. Just walk up and say, your name, and verify you are a party of three and then see what happens. They may do what happened with me at Brown Derby, shrug and say nothing and figure it out.

Le Cellier has vegetarian meals and beefless meals. You can contact the restaurant ahead of time if you need a special diet, allergies/sensitivities, or vegan meals.

Some good no beef items are:

Duck Two Ways - Duck confit and seared smoked duck breast with Chambord syrup
Shrimp, Scallop, and Mussel Bouillabaisse
Spiced Black Bean Cake (Vegetarian)
Seared Free-Range Chicken
Shrimp Cocktail
Grilled Pork Chop
Seared King Salmon

Show up very early and explain the situation. This should give the restaurant time to try to get you a table for 4. They are supposed to say no or they would have everyone randomly changing reservations.
