I just snagged an ADR for Cinderella's Castle for the last night of our trip. I know the food will be awful but I'm thinking it'll be a fun way to end the adventure. :cool1:

Our other ADR's include Jiko, Boma, Tutto Italia, Narcoosees, Tusker House and Chef's de France. (Tara talked me into the DDxP)

We ate lunch there once just to say we had done it. As long as you know the food won't be good and you will eat in absolute high speed fast forward mode, it's fine. ;)

I don't think it's cheesy at all.

And I like the food at Cindy's when we went. :thumbsup2

Last time I had dinner there was 5 years ago, and the food was great. But I understand things have changed a little. Either way, its a great room to dine in, something you have to do once in your life! :thumbsup2

You're Italian. It has to be cheesy......and tomato-y. :confused3

Thanks Guys-

I was shocked to get it. Tara and I just couldn't find the perfect ending.... TS meals at Mk are rather unispiring, We'd have already eaten at all the monorail resorts, and we really didn't want to leave the park and come back...This is perfect.

I really think it is worth doing once.
When we went the menu was pretty limited, and they don't seem to be able to deviate from the menu AT ALL. I asked for bread, and the poor waitress had a terrible time figuring something out. I ended up with some pretzel bread that they used to make one of the sandwiches with. Which was fine, and I really appreciated the fact that she came up with the pretzel bread. They are really only equipped to serve EXACTLY what is on the menu.

And we felt REALLY REALLY rushed. Those courses hit the table boom-boom-boom. But in all fairness we felt that exact same way at California Grill a few months ago, so it isn't just the castle.

We ate breakfast there in 2008 and both my DDiL and I thought it was pretty good.

Funny thing -- our "serving wench" was a total hoot. As things were winding down and we had totally maxxed out on Disney Princess estrogen, my 5 yo grand-daughter idly wondered where the princes were. I sotto voced to my daughter in law: "Probably scratching themselves and telling fart jokes" Our sweet lil moppet didn't hear me but our server did...

"OH MILADY! I AM SHOCKED! (etc. etc.) That wench really read me my beans.:lmao: Best participatory street theater ever.

Have fun, Rosie!

You know? We've never done that meal! I think it's a fun way to end a holiday, Rosie! I hope you like it.

Your other ADRs sound good too. We like Chefs du France and the upstairs Bistro.

Jiko is another favorite. ::yes::

'girl, we were totally disappointed in our meal at California Grill this past August. :( Won't be returning there any time soon at all!

I just looked over the menu, not bad at all.

And ya get free pics in the deal! :cool1:

I don't think it's cheesy at all. my partner and I usually go every trip and we're adults. :)

I found the food to be great, but then I'm a veggie and the veggie options taste great.

I agree with most of the other posters that it's something you should definitely try once. After that, you can decide if it's worth a return visit -- some feel it is, and others feel it isn't.

I've only eaten there once, and I thought the food was good and the service outstanding. This was maybe 4 years ago, though.

Tara's worried that the ADR is kind of late -the park closes at 10 and our ressie is for 8:10. I think that'll still leave us time to hit up two or three more rides, then take a leisurely stroll out Main Street.

My only concern is Wishes. Wishes is at 8 pm that night. Is it going to be hard getting past the barriers for my ADR? And can you hear Wishes from inside the castle? See any of it??

The building literally shakes rattles and rolls during Wishes, as some of the pyro is shot off very close. I would stand and watch Wishes from the hub, then make a bee line to the restaurant as soon as they are over with. You will only be about 5 minutes late for your ressie....

Years ago, when my children were quite small, we did dinner at the castle.

This was before the Princess mania, and Cinderella usually was only around at breakfast.

My main memory is of coming back from dinner and my daughter and son seeing Cinderella in the waiting foyer on ground level. They were completely taken aback, and would not go near her! I think it was too "real", unlike the characters out in the park. It is actually a sweeter memory than that sounds, they weren't freaked out so much as in awe.

The insides were smaller than I had expected, and the tables were quite close together. I did enjoy seeing the insides, but never felt the need to go back.

I think eating right after wishes will be spectaular.

Kathleen

Not cheesy at all. Enjoy yourself. Just don't trip up the stairs like I did and have everyone look at you.
