I *know* it's been asked before, but what dog food brand do you use?

NutroMax- I don't remember exactly which formula.

It's the one for mature (7+) large breed dogs with the added joint health ingredients.

We have a Great Dane, and larger dogs tend to have problems with bloat, so we've had to be kinda picky with her food.

We use: Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul (Yes, that's the name of it) http://www.chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com/ You can get a coupon on-line and find a location near you that sells it. We've had good success with it. The "doggie land mines" she leaves us are really not that big or smelly. She is a good weight - not all bones, not all fat.

We obtained her from a rescue, so she was REAL skinny when she came to us. We gave her "Magic Meatloaf"/"Satin Balls" until she filled out. Some people feed their dogs this ALL the time! I don't think I could keep up with that, but it is another option too.
(BTW, "Magic Meatloaf"/"Satin Balls" is a homemade food...raw ground beef, eggs, wheat germ, etc. I can't remember the exact recipe, but I'm sure you could find it on-line)

Crankyshank, OT, but your name makes me giggle:p

California Natural

Reduced Calorie...Lamb Rice and Sunflower Oil

If he eat any thing else, he gets a sick tummy

(7 yo golden retriever)

Susan:cool:

Purina Puppy Chow since we got her in June. It was what the Humane Society had been feeding her, so we kept on with it.

The Vet wanted me to put my new puppies (Teeny, teeny Toy Poodles) on Eukanuba. They both hate it! :crazy2: The only food they've both gobbled up was the little tin of mushy food called CESAR. They LOVE IT! But, ISN'T THAT REALLY A CHEAP (not cost wise!) FOOD THAT DOESN'T PROVIDE PROPER NUTRITION FOR PUPPIES? I'm growing weary of giving perfectly good dog food to friends and making endless trips to the store!

Blue Buffalo
its a people grade food
He was on nutro but likes this better

I have tried the Eukanuba and the Science diet........Miss Rio Karizma tells me that the Eukanuba should be called Yuckanuba.....she hated it! Finally went with Pedigree small chunks, I also mix a third of a can (big can) of the Pedigree wet with it and then microwave it for 25 seconds:rolleyes: She eats it and I never have to throw it away...............this comes from a Saluki who will not even eat a milk bone, or any other kind of a bone, or anything else for that matter! up to and including hot dogs! Her treat consists of 2 vanilla creme cookies and she won't eat those unless she is in her lawn chair being served!!! Sounds like she could be the next Disney PRINCESS! I have tried the Chicken soup lovers for the soul cat food and mine do like that also but it is kinda hard to find so I just stick with meow mix for the cats.

Nine Lives (my cat thinks she's dog ;))

Nutro Max lite
our vet reccommended it for our lab - they stated foods with chicken by products casue tumors in dogs. her coat is beautiful from the food and I find that lots of the higher end foods have chicken by products in it and I don't want to risk with her. although, she will eat anything including my walls.
I reccommend Nutro to anyone with a dog or a cat!!
