i could save $500.00 if i fly SONG out of Boston over SW out of albany

is it worth the drive

what is song like as an air line

OK--Song is Delta's 'low cost' (allegedly) division. Leather seats, seat back tvs.

Now, the drive from ALbany.....

You would need to factor in the cost of the drive (gas and tolls) the wear and tear on your vehicle (kind of intangible, but it does make sense) and the cost to park at or around Logan for a week or more. Plus depending on your flight time, you may or may not need a hotel room at one or the other end of your trip. Plus your time, how far a drive would it be?

Don't get me wrong, I like Song, and fly them often, but I don't know if they are worth all the hassle, even for $500 (which is not an insignificant amount)

Have you checked rates from Hartford(BDL) or Manchester, NH? They would probably be closer than Boston and might still save you some $$$.

P.S. I've flown Song, as have my sisters and we all LOVED Song! Great service and the planes all have TV's on the seats.

Generally the prices one way from BDL to MCO are: $79.00 for SWA and $89.00 for Song ("cheap" flights).
We are 2 hours from Logan and DH will not do the drive for JetBlue, whose prices are similar to SWA.
