I know it's a longshot, but is it impossible...

to get a 2 BR unit at VWL in early December (2005) at the 7 month mark?

I've heard so many people rave about the Xmas decorations there. It seems like a perfect place to stay during the holidays. Since it's not our home reosrt, would it be possible to get a 2 BR there? I'd love to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience!

P.S. Our home resort is OKW, which we love, but we'd love to try all of the DVC resorts over time!

I would bet it is absolutely possible, especially with the waitlist. I would call day by day at the 7 month mark for the best chances.
You are correct that the holiday season is awesome at VWL/WL!

Thanks for the advice, Maistre Gracey! When the time comes, I will definitely call day by day and hope for the best.

Even if we aren't able to stay at VWL, we will certainly visit the resort for dinner and to take in the holiday decorations.

I think you would probably have a decent shot at it. Believe it or not, it seems as though the 2BR aren't as hard to get as say some studios or 1BR villas. You may get a pleasant surprise.
