But what program do all of you use and why??? Since everyone is not designing I need to learn how to make my own designs...not that they will be as good as all of yours. Finding the perfect shirt for different days of our trip has become SUCH a part of my Disney Experience. Making signs for our windows.... invites... EVERYTHING.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements. It was affordable - I think about $70 at costco. And I knew there would be lots of online tutorials and helps.

It's alot of fun!

I use paint shop pro. It costs about the same as photoshop elements & tons of tutorials online as well.

Any specific edition of Photoshop and Paint Shop?

I love making my own shirts, invitations, etc., but with all the designers pulling out for whatever reasons AND the fact that I never seem to have the time to just sit and look at this site, I figured I would have to go the route of the others and learn to do it myself. Not that I have any spare time, but I will have to make it!!! <wink>

One other question... where does everyone get their graphics from? I see graphics in peoples' designs that I have never seen online. Just wondering, so I know when I start doing this!

Thanks SO much!!!

I am not a designer by any means... but, what little I do with photo editing and graphic making... I use paint.NET.

I look for tutorials for photoshop online, and just reference them.. It sometimes takes awhile.. but, I've figured out most things I attempt to do. There are also tutorials for paint.NET as well.

Price: Free.

gimp is also free if you want to try that.

The version of Paint Shop Pro I use is 8 but I think there is at least version 12 out by now.

I tried Photo Impact on a free 30 day trial and then after that expired, I tried Photoshop Elements on a free 30 day trial.

I personally liked the Photoshop Elements better so I bought the 5.0 version. I think they are on 6.0 now.

I love the features and find it to be user friendly after I got the hang of it (in the beginning - I didn't think it was user friendly - ha ha - just need a lesson in patience).

There are so many out there - I suggest a trial like I did, then you can use it and see what you like. But only try one at a time so that you can really dedicate time to it and see if you like it.

I use Photoshop Elements 5.0. There is now a newer version.
