but I have this huge zit (used to get them a lot, but have been pretty much free of them for a few years now) on my lower cheek that now has this weird red patch circling it. Never had that before in all my years fighting acne. So DH tells me he heard MRSA bacteria can present as a PIMPLE. UGH. I'll keep an eye on it. I do have a gyn. appt. tomorrow, maybe I'll her look at it. ANyone have experience with this?
I AM on immunosuppressants and thus more at risk for infections.

The red patch around it, is it in a circle? I have never seen it in person but that sounds like Lyme Disease. Definately have your doctor look at it. Good Luck

I know what you mean, but the thing in the middle is def. a zit, not a tick bite...at least from I know about ticks. And I haven't been anywhere that I'd get a tick bite. I barely go in my own yard when it's this hot.

I occasionally get weird bumps/bites/zits (not sure) on my chest. I will just get one single one. I don't have acne so just getting the one is unusual for me.

Anyway, I will usually have the bump and then it will be red around the bump. It is some sort of inflammation and it goes away on it's own. I would use some type of antiseptic cleaner on the zit and keep it clean.
