Pixar did NOT make "Meet the Robinsons". It was Walt Disney Pictures. Pixar's record of 9 big hits (Toy Story, Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall E) hasn't been tarnished.

There- I feel better....

Not being nit-picky, just stating the facts. Meet the Robinson's is NOT a Pixar film.

Besides, even though Kevin and Lohn ;) didn't like "Meet the Robinson's" it did gross over 161 million dollars :goodvibes not too shabby.:thumbsup2

We loved "Meet the Robinson's". :hippie:

I am the same way when people think SHREK is PIXAR I am like HELLO thats DREAMWORKS!!!!!! AKA UNIVERSAL NOT DISNEY/PIXAR!!!!

We liked it, too!! When I was listening to them talk about it, I kept talking back to the computer, saying, "Pixar didn't make that- but it wasn't a flop, either..." :)

I was wondering how fast someone would post this. I agree, MTR was a good movie. I enjoyed both of Disney's digital toons (Chick-N-L & MTR). Both did very well at the box office.

My DS7 & DD5 will watch Chicken Little over most of the Pixar films anyday.

I stand corrected. Meet the Robinsons was NOT a Pixar movie.

But it did get horrible reviews and by the standards set by other animated films of this era, it was considered to be "not a hit".

Shrek 2 - $441 million
Finding Nemo - $339 million
Lion King - $328 million
Shrek 3 - $322 million
Shrek - $267 million
The Incredibles - $261 million

hehe I wanted to post myself, but also didn't wanna be nitpicky ;)

Anyway me and my fiancée loved Robinsons, we watched it in 3d at the cinema too which was fun!
Oddly, just before listening to that podcast, guess which non-Pixar film I was watching ;)

:goodvibes

And, at least there was a point in making the movie, unlike The Wild ;)

:goodvibes

Did you know "The Wild" was in production before the other zoo-animal-freedom movie was?!? Disney then put it on a back burner. It wasn't a Disney in house product, so, it didn't have the same clout as other films. Disney realesed this picture. It was completely created by a third party.

Bowler Hat Guy: Now, my slave, seize the boy!
[T-rex traps Lewis in the corner, but has trouble grabbing him]
Bowler Hat Guy: What's going on? Why aren't you seizing the boy?
T-Rex: I have a big head and little arms. I'm just not sure how well this plan was thought through.
[Bowler Hat Guy glares into his handset]
T-Rex: Master?

:rotfl:

I really enjoyed meet the robinsons, mostly because I saw it premiered on the Disney Magic!! Its one of those movies you have to see several times, the first time it didn't make any sense until you knew who was who at the very end.

My kids and I still quote this line to this day...

Yep, my DD and I do the same thing. Whenever either of us does something dumb, we just look at each other and quote that line. It often diffuses any tension caused by the spilled kool-aid, milk, broken vases, broken toys, etc.

;)

That's why we love this film

I get very annoyed when people assume all 'cartoony' movies are Disney (even the bad ones). A lady at work came in one day saying she'd seen the new Disney film with her kids, I gave her a puzzled look and asked her what it was about, she said it was a dancing penguin :lmao: Grrrrrrrr.

I have to admit I've only seen MTR once (DH didn't 'get it') but I would like to see it again (when they have the DVD on offer!).

I'm with you all. I loved MTR, but only saw it once in the theater, me thinks it deserves a second look. I like to try to see many animated films, hey, we even own Hoodwinked and the kids and I absolutely LOVE it, even though it's kind of a unknown. We were hoping the same would hold true with Space Chimps, but I'm sorry, what a terrible, terrible, terrible movie. Whoever thought this was a good idea was sorely mistaken! I had to try very hard to mask my disgust in front of the kids, but they were'nt all that impressed either.
