Don't think that reason is correct. People rent points from DVC members on this board, money exchanges hands and that is still allowed. I think it's a licensing issue.

Not to start a flame war or anything, but aren't the images in siggies and avatars copyrighted images owned by Disney? Isn't that considered stealing as well, if you haven't paid for it? I have always been curious about that...

This is not the reason given by the mods for DISallowing photo pass shares.
It was always the start of the arguments between posters, but not the final reason given for stopping the threads about them.

Having watched the debates and arguments over the years about Photopass shares, I can say with certainty that THIS is the reason that has been given by the PTB for not allowing shares here on the Dis anymore.


There used to be a sticky at the top of the BB forum regarding the elimination of shares that required money to change hands. I wonder why they took it down?


DVC is immune to this rule. Even though it does involve money exchanging hands on a huge level, they have their own board. It may be because of sponsors on the board, I really don't know. The Disboards are privately owned and the owners can make their own rules as they see fit.

yes...I'm not judging anyone or denying that I've ever shared PP. What I'm saying is that yes...it's REALLY bending the rules at the financial disadvantage of Disney. The intent of the CDs is not for complete strangers to share them. Disney is obviously catching on by not allowing people to automatically pre-purchase the CD (making it kinda difficult to pre-plan a share). The past 2 trips I've taken, I have not been pre-offered the CD.
