I have a 3 and an almost 2 year old. I am in desperate need of a new stroller, a double one.

I would be very interested in which ones people are most happy w/. DH doesn't really like or want a jogging double mainly cause of the size it collapses into...but if you are ABSOLUTELY in love w/ it please let me know why. I'd really appreciate it.

I'm thinking of leaning towards the Combi Twin ex. Anyone have one of them...like it, hate it? please help!!!

:thumbsup2

Baby Jogger City Mini

Pros: Huge sun canopies; great for taller kids; great recline; sufficient storage; fairly lightweight; a dream to push/steer even with two different weight kids; you can sell it years from now to recoup some of your purchase price if you take care of it; incredibly simple fold; wheels are large enough and stroller is sturdy enough to handle slightly uneven terrain; relatively high maximum weight which means you can use it longer

Cons: Price; accessories like the belly bar/snack tray and parent console cost extra (although you can get a Sunshine Kids parent console for under $20 at Walmart which fits nicely on either side)

Another vote for the Baby Jogger City Mini Double. Lots of room for toddlers/ preschoolers, very flat EASY fold, the Canopies are amazing. Very reasonable weight considering its a full featured double. Loved mine for day to day activities and especially when at WDW - took it there twice. Easy to push and turn!!!!!! I liked it better than a maclaren twin techno and much better than the combi. But it is more money and harder to find used as its newer to the market and it seems to be a keeper in a lot of houses!

If you dont like BIG stay away from Graco Duo Glider...that this is HUGE and hard to maneuver.

Maclaren twin techno!! My girls are 1 and 2 it pushes easy...the only down side is I sometimes stuggle to set it up and take down...but we haven't used all that often so maybe I jsut need practice

If I buy a double it will be the city mini double. I have the single and it is hands down THE best stroller I've used.

Another vote for the citi mini double; will easily handle 100 lb like it's nothing, turns on a dime; just the best stroller ever!

I LOVE my City Mini Double, too. BUT, DH was annoyed with it on the busses last year, enough that he let me get the Peg Perego Twin for our upcoming trip. So far, I really like it, lightweight, great canopies, a front tray (which very few side by side doubles have--and why I got this one), folds up pretty small and has a carry handle. The BJCM is a GREAT stroller though, just wish it folded up better and stayed shut.

Thank for the advice....I really wish I could afford (well dh would be ok w/ spending that much) for a city mini...I even looked on Craigslist...none for sale...and 4 want ads....Oh well....I think I might just go w/ the Peg Preggo one or the combi.....

does anyone have either of those and complaints about either of them?

Do not get the Peg - they suck!!!! I had Peg double and I have had nothing, but problems. I loved my Peg single, but our Peg double was atrocious.

We have a giant Graco Duo Glider that I love to pieces. It is definitely bulky and will probably be a pain in the butt on the buses, but it has all the ammenities that we want/need with 3 kids under 5 and didn't cost and arm and a leg.

I have a Peg twin and LOVE it! It's been perfect for us. It's great for the mall and pavement walking (like Disney), but not if you have to push it on gravel, stones or grass. It folds up small, has great canopies and the basket is fairly large for a lightweight stroller. My kids are real comfy in this.

I sold my DuoGlider--can't imagine taking that on the busses--It's amazing what some people love others hate.;)

I totally agree. I love reading stroller threads (even if there are 232952935 of them). I used my Peg for 3 years - finally had to give it up last year. The basket was being held together by girls' hair ties...:lol I must say, it gave us 6 good Disney trips, so I guess I can't complain TOOOOO much, but for the price we paid, I felt it should have stayed in better shape for a lot longer.

I am not looking forward to the DuoGlider on the buses, but that's what I have my husband for ;) and luckily we will be at OKW and the buses tend to not get too crowded.

check the yahoo stroller group by strollerqueen I think a mom on there is trying to sell her city mini double. if nothing else the ladies there know where all of the great deals. Unfortunately I have been on w/ them for the past two months so I don't really know where the great deals are right now. if I were to go w/ any other double besides the bjcm it would be a mac twin techno and after that a combi but not the peg. the reason I would stay away from the peg is that since there is no set of wheels in the middle it makes it harder to push and especially turn.

I'm in love with our double jogger. It's a Mountain Buggy. It's expensive, it is big when folded, but it manuevers like a breeze with two front swivel wheels. The handle is adjustable so works great for both tall and not so tall folks. It was one of the best purchases I made for the kids.
