Does anyone have the Jeep Cherokee stroller? I have read all the reviews regarding the Macclaren (don't really like it due to no cup holders for me and my DS and the baskets are kind of small), the Peg (doesn't recline very well) and the Baby Jogger is out of my price range at the moment.

I'm looking for a lightweight (10-14lbs range) stroller with one hand closure, basket underneath to hold a bag, cup holders for me and DS, shade cover and reclines. My DS will be 26 mos when we go to Disney next year so I'll probably need to carry a small diaper bag for snacks and diapers and he'll probably take naps (even though he doesn't now since he's too busy trying to see everything).

We have the Graco Metrolite (I think) and that's too bulky for the buses and we have a smaller umbrella stroller with a shade cover but no basket. It's just something we use for quick trips but I want something a little more sturdy for Disney. Thank you for any and all suggestions.

Ok....even though you said mo to the MACs I will have to say that I have been through many strollers and my sons MAC quest is the best!!! It's light weight, easy up mamuber with one hand, folds compactly, reclines easily and is comfortable in height fir him and for us to push. If your son is over two I would so reccommend it because there are not many light weight strollers out there that can hold a 55lb. Child comfortably like the Maclarens can. You can get the soft cup holder that fits on the back to store items and sippy cups. I only have one negative to say she it has to do with the basket! It does not hold much and you have to take everything out to fold it up. Other than that these strollers are so worth the money:)

I had a jeep stroller with my dd and really liked it. Of course it has been like 3 years since she has been in one but we used it a lot at the zoo and other theme parks and it was easy to push and nice with teh basket and such.

We had the a Jeep Double Stroller that we got rid of after 2 years of HARD use. It was pretty sturdy but drove like a semi and was hard to move. This was a double so I am not sure about a single. I wasn't impresses with the comfort level that it gave either child.

you can buy stroller cup holders for under $10, buy the stroller that meets your needs and just buy the accessories you need.

I have had 3 Jeep strollers (Stroller Addict here;))

I did like the Cherokee--don't like my double at all. I liked the Cherokee because of the basket, cupholders, full recline and canopy. DS was very comfy in it. But, mine was pretty bulky, maybe they've changed since then?? It was kinda heavy carrying it on the busses.

Have you looked at the Combi? I have one of those and really like it. There is no cupholder, but we bought the one that goes on the Macs and it worked fine, plus it has a pocket on the back of the canopy and we would even put drinks in there. The Combi folds up small and has a carrying strap like the Macs.

I also just got an Peg Perego Aria Twin, which I think will be perfect for Disney. It has a large basket, nice shades, trays for DSs and a cupholder for me, plus its light and folds up small. You can get an 08 for less than $150.00 now.

HTH

I agree with above poster, if you have a good stroller, pick up a cup holder and a mesh bag to hang on the handles. I've found the bag better than the under stroller thing because when I fold it up the stuff stays in the bag, no need to take everything out first!

Thank you everyone. I may have to do without the basket and just get the accessories. I just want something easy to fold up and carry onto the buses since we will be staying at POFQ. I'll look at the Combi's and Macs again and see which one I like better. I guess I'll have to make another trip to BRU.

i found a zooper twist last summer for our trip to disney. I really like it large canopy, good recline(new ones this year have a one hand flat recline), descent storage, cup holder for me, umbrella fold. not tippy like the macs.

I had looked pretty closely at the jeep stroller. I ended up going with a Baby Planet, we were at Disney when DS's foot strap broke so I was checking out all of the strollers while we were there and thought they were nice looking. I found one for $99 online, foot rest, canopy that comes all the way down, recline, large basket, cup holder, and holds up to 65 lbs. If you can afford a little extra the Endangered Species line are adorable!
