Ok, I've been checking airfare from Dallas, Texas to Orlando, Fl. for about a month now and the cheapest I have found is 210.70 PP for our 5/28/05 thru 6/4/05 trip. Has anyone from DFW seen anything better. I getting worried my DH does not want to pay that much for our family of 4.:(

I've tracked airfare from Houston, TX to Orlando for the last few years, and I'm satisfied if I get a rate slightly over $200. Occasionally I've booked at a little under $200 and our first trip in 2001 was $110 but I've not seen that since then. I think your fare of $210 is about the best you can expect to see. I know Dallas has issues with the Wright amendment affecting airfares to Orlando, but I think the fares are generally similar to Houston.

Yes, I believe that is a very good air fare! I would buy that before it isn't available any more. Doubtful that you will get anything cheaper the longer you wait, although you may want to ask a travel agent that you trust who could perform a fare shop search via their reservation system (fare shop is a function of SABRE, but any rez platform has its own ability to shop for lowest prices)...

:wave2:

I frequently check the www.bestfares.com website to give me some idea of what a current "good" airfare might be. Right now, they are showing $192 as a lowest non-member fare, but if you become a member of the website, it shows a best fare of $167. I'm not sure what the fees are to join, but it might be worth looking into. Good luck with your airfare search!

It costs about $50 to join best fares and DON'T. Those member fares turn out not to be very available. (I was a member once, but.... never saved a penny!)

Thanks for telling me about bestfares because I have been checking their website also. I'm glad I didn't waste my hard earned money by becoming a member. So I guess I should tell my DH this is about the cheapest we're going to get on airfare:tongue:

I flew out of Dallas this OCT using Delta. I keep watching the prices and about three weeks before I was due to fly out they dropped to $130. I know this is late to book but it was worth waiting for. I did book directly through Delta. I am going to Disney the same time as you and will be looking for cheap flights out of Dallas also if I find any I will E-mail you.
