Where in the Bahamas is Castaway Cay? I am tracking the hurricane and would like to keep an eye on CC. Can anyone help?

The group of islands, closest to Florida, are the Abacos Islands. Shaped like a backward "C", Gorda Cay-aka Castaway Cay is an island by itself just to the left of the "C".

If you watch the Weather Channel you will see a small little dot of an island near the Abacos Island.

It looks like CC is going to take a direct hit from Frances. She is one mean mother.

The only bright side I see to this tradgedy is that hopefully Disney will have time to rebuild before our sailing. They seem to have done a fantastic job rebuilding after Floyd, from what I've read on these posts.

I am heartbroken knowing that CC probably won't be as beautiful as she was last July, but I'm very happy to know that she has recovered from total devistation in the past.

And even if she isn't repaired in time for our visit, there's always next year

Thank you. I will be watching tonight and tomorrow. We had the most wonderful time on CC at the little bar sticking out in the bay (Heads Up Bar at Pelican Point) We spent the entire day (Minus the 2 hours of our cabana massages) there with our very favorite CM Adela!!!! What a great day! We will watch closely! Thank you.

Hopefully when they rebuilt the island during the last hurricane they planned out the possibly of needing to rebuild again. Find out what they can build that would withstand an even more powerful hurricane than Floyd. So rebuilding would not take as long or be as expensive.

I can only keep my fingers crossed. Wonder how long it will be before we find out how bad it is....
