we have the early seating for dinner and im curious about the attire of our 5 mo. old olivia....i have pretty dresses fot the formal and semi nights. now, on the other nights, i was thinking about keeping her in jammies(so we can put her right to sleep) or little jumpers. will it be "frowned upon"? being so little, the dresses either scoot up or she pulls them up to put in her mouth. i would hope that it wouldnt offend, but if it will, i have a little over a week to shop for other options:) any opinions or advice is welcome!!!!!!:wave2:

Your five-month-old daughter is way too young to worry about the dress code! If anyone gives you any flack about the way she is dressed, I think we should make that person walk the plank.

You will not be questioned in the slightest regarding the attire of your 5-month old....

I really don't think ANYONE would care if your five month old was wearing her PJ's if they did then they are wound way too tight in my opinion.

The most common aside you will hear will be "isn't she adorable!"

Oh my goodness, I read that as 5 year old and was wondering why your 5 year old was picking up her dresses to put them in her mouth! 5 months old is a whole other ball of wax though. Anyone who is offended because an infant is wearing a jumper REALLY needs to think about something else on their cruise besides what other people wear!

I'm pretty much a confirmed member of the Fashion Police around here, and I don't care if your 5mo wears her jammies or jumpers to dinner. So there you go - an official okay from the anal-retentive-about-dress-code crowd! ;)

I am a pretty big stickler to the "rules" as far as dress goes. My 10 month old wore appropriate clothes for all the meals, but if she were 5 months old? I would happily put her in jammies and jumpers!

I can't imagine anyone being offended, and if they are, feel free to kick'em for me!

Have a great time!

When my two girls were that age I found plenty of "dressy jumper" type things for church and special occasions. A typical one might have had smocking across the top or perhaps a sewn-on skirt. They're very practical because they can't be pulled up to show off the diaper. If you can find them in soft material, the child could be put to bed in them too. Little girls are so much easier than boys in this regard!

I agree with Jim - people will just see how adorable she is and not worry about what she is wearing. :D

I'b big on following rules - especially dress codes - but a 5 month old is a totally different story.

Some of the baby jammies are as cute as the clothes they make, especially for little girls! Let her be comfy! Easier for you too!

I agree with everyone else, if someone is so concerned how your little baby is dressed, they need to get a life... Enjoy your baby & your cruise!

I would go with the jammies, she if she falls asleep you can put her right to bed. I don't think anyone would mind. I know we won't if were on the same dining rotation. See you in less than 2 weeks. Makenna says Hi to Ciara.

No one really cares what the children wear as long as they have clothes on and not poopie diapers! And at 5 months, I guarantee you that no one cares at all. Make her comfortable.

For older kids (like under 6) make them happy and comfortable.

now,i feel good about what i have packed but, i just wanted to be sure after the threads that i have read regarding the dress codes. things get pretty heated when it comes to this subject, so i wanted to be sure:p wouldnt want to offend;)

Just make sure she is wearing dark socks and sandals:teeth: That's my 2cents worth.:teeth: :teeth:
