I knew Dawn had some slayer blood in her. I just can't figure out why it took everyone else so long to figure this out. I mean, remember two seasons ago they kept stressing the whole, "sharing blood." This will be good for the theory that Dawn will be taking over the show. I'm thinking Dawn the Vampire Slayer doesn't have a nice ring to it though. And I hope they don't decide to kill off Buffy. Well, it doesn't really matter because Faith's death will be the one to bring on the next Slayer. Maybe that's why Faith might be coming back?

Anyway, I think it's pretty cool. Anyone else have any thoughts about it?

Oops, guess I was wrong. Nevermind. I still think it would be cool for Dawn to be the next Slayer though.

I dunno....I still think there is something questionable about Dawn. How she appeared out of nowhere, etc..... I feel kind of bad that she feels out of place/not needed, but she bugs me!!

And could that whiney blond guy (Alan?) please go AWAY!! LOL!!

Yeah, I forget his name too. I don't really know why they're keeping him around anyway. It seems like everyone in the house isn't liking him much either.

I still think there's something special about Dawn too. Maybe something has to happen to unleash it first though. I dunno anymore. It seems like once you think you have something figured out on this show something happens and it goes a completly different direction.

I really liked tonight's episode. This season is far better than last year. I was sort of hoping that Dawn was a potential slayer but the story worked out okay. Dawn will play a major role in the battle with the First as some point.
Andrew is very annoying. I keep wondering when he is going to get killed off. It will happen at some point.
Faith is suppose to make an appearance on Angel sometime this season and then appear in a couple of Buffys. I wonder if she will also be killed off to activate a new slayer.

Dawn kind of annoys me too. I can't see her carrying the show as THE SLAYER.
I thought it was the other girl when Dawn met her in the street. I just had a feeling that it wouldn't be Dawn, that's too predictable for this show.
I wish the show would be on every week for a while. It seems like it's hardly ever on!
Is it on next week?

Am I the only one who thinks Dawn is snively and annoying?
I am glad that she isn't a potential slayer.

I agree that this season has been great - it's much darker and yet more of a throwback to the earlier seasons.
The thing that did aggravate me was that they kept mentioning that if Buffy died, one of the slayerettes would be called. That's actually not true - a new slayer will only be called in the event of Faith's death. Buffy all ready died twice.

Oh and a heads up for Buffy fans- season 4 will be out on dvd in June.

dunno....I still think there is something questionable about Dawn. How she appeared out of nowhere, etc

Dawn was the Key that Glory was looking for a couple of seasons back. She origninally was a ball of supernatural energy. The people responsible for protecting the Key created Dawn to hide it from Glory. Glory was an evil, god-like creature who was kicked out of her dimension. Dawn was the Key to reopening the doorway to Glory's dimension, which of course, would bring about an apocylpse here on Earth. Buffy sacrificed herself to close the portal because otherwise they would have had to kill Dawn. Willow & the gang brought Buffy back from the dead at the beginning of last season. Anya & Giles saw some demon creature on the last episode & apparently their bringing Buffy back disturbed the natural order and allowed the First to regain strength.

Next week is another rerun. It's the one with Cassie from earlier this season.

Its still possible that Dawn could be a slayer candidate. The locater spell did make her glow (even though it clearly hit the slayer candidate on the other side of the door as well). Perhaps the locater spell produced a kind of 2 for one deal in that it found 2 candidates standing withen feet of each other. I think that there will probably be some sort of surprise regarding Dawn this season.

I agree that this season is much better than last year, but then a nice long session at the dentist would be better than last year (with the exception of the musical and a few other episodes).

BTW: Season 3 of Buffy (the best season of the series in my opinion) is now out on DVD. I don't think they will ever come up a villain as good as the mayor from that season.

I like Dawn, but I don't see her as a slayer or potential slayer. She's too annoying.

According to a newsletter I get, Buffy will be all new episodes all Feb. long. Finally!!

Here is the info on the first 2 episodes.

Tuesday, February 4, 8PM ET/PT:
"The Killer in Me"
When Willow starts to give in to romantic feelings for Kennedy, her guilty conscience causes her to turn into Warren, Tara's killer. Also, the gang gets clues that lead them to believe Giles may be The First, and Buffy helps Spike with what seems to be his malfunctioning chip, ultimately leaving Buffy with a shocking choice.

Tuesday, February 11, 8PM ET/PT:
"First Date"
Buffy goes on a date with Principal Wood, while Xander goes on date with an enigmatic woman. Multi-Grammy nominee Ashanti guest stars.

Giles....could be the first......NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :( :( I hope that does not come to be. I miss Giles, I wish he was back on more.

And Buffy goes on a date with the Principal???????? He is so shifty!!! I wonder if it is a trap.......

CHIBIJONES: I know where Dawn came from, I just think it was pretty lame......She needs to go away. (Hey, maybe she and Andrew can go away together.....aaaahhhhh, all is well in Sunnydale.);)

I was kinda wondering about Giles being the first also. I mean, the last time we saw him before he showed up on Buffy's doorstep some scary looking dude was about to chop off his head or something. I wouldn't like it if Giles turned out to be dead...I miss him too.

I don't really think Spike's chip is defective. I think maybe The First is the one that was doing the killing and Spike just watched him. A few episodes ago he was explaining to Buffy that he felt like he was standing outside his body watching it happen. If it was really The First that killed those people instead of Spike, then that would make since. Also, I think the principal might be The First also. Can The First take on multiple forms at one time? Anyway, he seems kinda suspecious. Maybe he didn't start out as The First but he could've died somewhere along the way so The First could take over his role. But like I said, you never know what's going to happen on this show...especially with this season. It has been a GREAT season. It's too bad Tera couldn't come back.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think Faith will probably be the one to die to activate a new slayer. I mean, they have to be bringing those potentials in for a reason. One of them is going to have to be called. Maybe she'll just have a "death" like Buffy's first one. I was reading on a Buffy discusion board that they should just "kill" the active slayer and bring her back to life so that way another slayer is called. If they keep doing that then they end up with a whole army of slayers.

It is my understanding the First has no substance and has to work through intermediaries. In addition the First can only take the appearance of someone who has died. This would rule out the principal in that he used the shovel to bury one of the Three Nerds. It is possible that the First took possession somehow of Spike's body but since the First is not corporeal, it could not had killed those people. Spike's chip may have no effect on an entity taking possession of his body or more accurately, the pain caused by the chip may not matter to or affect the First while it is possessing Spike.

I do not trust the Principal. He knows more about what is going on than he has let on and his reason for hiring Buffy as a counselor was pretty lame. It seems that Buffy has the job so he could keep an eye on her and while he may be a good guy, it would be more fun if he is one of the bad guys.

They need kill Andrew off soon. He is very annoying and needs to die at some point to make up for his past actions. Otherwise, Andrew needs to do something truly special to redeem himself and I do not see that happening.

sorcerormickey: No problem. I just thought you may have missed that season. Dawn doesn't bug me as much now as she used to. It used to bug me that the sister of the Slayer was such a typical damsel in distress.
